A wonderful way to see so many plants and flowers from all over the world. The small aquarium is beautiful and all the displays are brilliant. Each section, even though they are small, is packed full of plants and very carefully looked after to fit into their own natural environment. My kids even spotted an egg being cared by for its mummy in the Australian section. Very gorgeous and well worth a few hours there.

Worth to visit at any time of the year.
What we found surprising was the complex of 9 greenhouses. Nine exhibition pavilions of varying size provide an exhibition area of approx. 3000 square metres. Thirteen different botanical themes are presented in these pavilions, each with its own microclimate, makes you feel like inside the Amazon virgin forest or in desert of Australia.
Also the circular aquarium was amazing.
You have to see it!

Over 120 years old, it is the oldest botanical garden in the Czech Republic. Highlights include the orchid collection, the giant corpse plant, the oldest bonsai in Europe (arrived in 1882) and Victoria water lilly, among other specimens. There is also a small aquarium with some corals and tropical fish. Well worth visiting, and draws smaller crowd than the nearby zoo.

I grew up in Liberec and have seen this botanical garden many times when it still had old greenhouses and now they are nice and modern. It has ponds, flower beds, trees (even palm trees), bushes, aquariums with turtles, fish, and alligator. The greenhouses have lots of great different plants and trees from different continents and climates. There are also displays of rocks, trees, and shells.
We spent about two hours there. After all these years, I still enjoy going back. It is a must-to-see attractions for visitors that come to Liberec.

I visited in February when the outside section was mostly dormant. The greenhouses; however, offered a large variety of plants, as well as other expositions. I ended up spending much longer than the time I budgeted for this attraction.

Botanical Garden is more than 100 Years old, but young fashioned. Pavilions are compact and interesting - 2 flors, but served by lift. Funy for not only children is the central aquarium full of colourfull fishes. When children were small, we spent more time in aquarium of botanical garden than in ZOO... In the Spring/Summer time is nice the outdoor garden.

The garden is very nice, although it is not very large. There are many kinds of exotic flowers and the building is divided to several zones based on the types of flowers. The staff wasnt really friendly but thats not that important in this case.

What a great place. Only 4 starts because there were a lot of sleeping plants - but it was November and it was raining hard. I must go back when the rose garden in in bloom. But even then, the clever geometric greenhouses have plenty to offer, displaying a range of environments and plants. Although it was Nov the little "sales" office was open - but the rain was heavy and all the outside seating was very, very wet. Saved my coffee and a kuchen to just outside the gardens and went to a local café/cake shop/conditorie - suggest that you do likewise. However, back to the gardens, well worth a visit, but not dog friendly.

The botanical garden in Liberec gives a nice overview of plants in several continents of our country. From that point it has its educational purpose. But there is also great garden architecture, so those who are not interesting in learning botanical knowledge could just enjoy the beauty of this collection of flowers and greenery. For children would be nice to see the additional exhibition of small fishes and turtles.

The greenhouses are nice, with a lot of different plants (including carnivorous). The garden is nothing special, there is a huge collection of roses, but unfortunately they were not flowering. There are also some aquariums with a funny turtle. The ticket is relative expensive, considering the size. It is optimally located next to the zoo, so one can combine the two visits.
