About
On the main tourist route from St. Barbara’s Church to the historic centre. Opposite the Czech Museum of Silver. Exhibition devoted to the history of printing in Kutna Hora, printing works and bookbindery from 1850 to 1920. Visitors can print their own postcard at 100 year old printing machine Boston. The Museum is a member of AEPM. The unique exhibition will please lovers of books and art craft.

Extraordinary museum where you can try the machines. You do not have to read . It is possible to listen the commentary from old-school radio (czech/english version). The top: you can "touch" some machines and make a postcard by yourself. It is not just another boring museum.

I went into this museum without knowing that it was a museum, because they offered beautiful postcards of Kutná Hora here (you will not find postcards like this elsewhere in the town). And when I found out that there was a book printing museum, I took a tour.
In three rooms there were old machines for printing newspapers and books, some exhibits were in the display cases and there were pictures on the wall. You could take tour with a guide or a self-guided tour. You could even print your own postcard here.
There was available a washroom (not only for visitors of the museum). For takeing pictures you have to buy permission for 50,- CZK.
