This brand new museum - opened in August 2014 - contains a wonderful collection of glass manufactured between 1880 and 1940 by the leading Bohemian glassworks, Loetz Witwe. Quite apart from the high quality of the glass exhibited, which is exceptional, the display is beautifully designed to show the art nouveau and art deco shapes and colours to their maximum advantage. Anyone visiting Klatovy, and anyone interested in glass visiting the Czech Republic, should reserve a few hours to enjoy this feast of the glassmakers' art.

The building is of beautiful clean curving lines, all white and with big windows. The collection of art nouveau coloured glass is just amazing: vases of all sizes and shapes, jugs, dishes, candle-holders and some other receptacles, all made in the early 20th century in the Loetz glassworks in the small town called today Klastersky Mlyn, some 40kms from Klatovy (the factory no longer exists). The white-coloured interior with its curving vitrines makes the presentation shine - just great!!! Even the small garden with wiry but very comfortable chairs and benches is very welcoming.

If you love glass sculpture you will want to visit this museum. It is a short walk from the Town Square just past the schools. The outside grounds are lovely, the building is new and stands out from its surroundings. The front lobby has many exhibits.

City of Klatovy reconstructed the pavillon located in the garden next to the museum and decided to use it for a exhibition of glass. One part of the exhibition displays one of the largest private European collection of Bohemian glass. Permanent exposition - more than 700 pieces of glass made by the most famous Bohemian glassworks Loetz from Klášterský Mlýn from historical styles, Art Nouveau and modern design.

Permanent exposiotion of glass producedd with one glas factory only but you definitely can not miss when visiting Klatovy. The permanent exhibition is regularly supplemented by special pieces.

The museum offers a wide collection of the Loetze glass focusing on all techniques that were used for producing a high-quality glass. The museum is in a newly reconstructed building and they are also shortly extending the exhibition by adding approx. 100 new pieces.

If you are a Loetz collector, this museum needs to be on your "must visit" list! The PASK museum delights the senses and educates the visitor by showing the wide range of glass produced by the leading Bohemian house, Loetz Witwe, between 1880 and 1940. All of the pieces, over 700 in the permanent collection, are beautifully displayed and provide a visual array of unique shapes and beautiful decors including many rare Phaenomen examples. Clearly, this museum was curated by a Loetz expert. After our visit we toured the town of Klatovy and enjoyed a wonder dinner seated outside looking over the beautiful town square. Our visit (in May 2015 but this date was not available for the review options) was a great experience.
