There are two streets on either side of the river. One is called the stara Nuvo and the other one is this. Right at the beginning of the town ( after the massive exhibition hall used for the film festival ). Filled with beautiful medieval buildings, spas, restaurants and cobbled roads...Best part of this? This is a traffic free zone.... More

This area is packed with hotels, restaurants and life. It is just at the beginning of the colonnade's tour, so you will not miss it. Worthy taking some pictures and even have lunch in one of the many restaurants (some of them put tables over the river, in one of the two small bridges).

We were there on Easter Sunday so there was lots of action in the area. It was fun to watch people from all over as they strolled with their families. This area is beautiful and each building seems to be more beautiful than the last! There are lots of high end shops for those who like to shop.

Karlovy Vary is among the 5 most beautiful cities in the Czech republic and this street just confirms this. It's very clean and it has a very special atmosphere, especially at night. Definitely a must visit.

Depending which side of the river you use you will either walk along this Stara louka street or Nova louka street. Both are very pretty with beautiful houses, we walked one way there and one way back.
