When we arrived we had good luck because of nice sunny day. Parking price was about 150-200 kč (5.9 - 7.86 €).

Many Germany tourists but they were so polite and greeted us 😇

Way to place wasn’t so hard to beat, so we where there quite quick, but scenery was total beautiful.

At the top, there is a restaurant and entrance has price, but we didn’t pay so price is unknown for us ❤️

But to sum up, it was very nice trip and i can easily recommend 😌

Last and final stop on our trip was Pravcicka Brana, I read that it was in the chronicles of narnia, but to be honest by the end of the trip i was more interested in a final beer a good nights sleep and the drive back to germany. The views are breathtaking and the hike is quite pleasant, make sure to do the whole loop. A bit of a downside was that there was little to no information posted in english, mostly german and czech language, but we found the people along the way quite helpful.

One can only see so many churches and museums before it starts to become monotonous. We booked with a great company through Viator called Bohemia Adventures and did the arch, lunch and gate. To get to the arch you walk uphill, this is not for people with mobility issues. We went the end of November, unfortunately there was no snow but nonetheless it was still beautiful.plus no crowds had it practically all to ourselves

good long walk to a beautiful place. You dont have to purchase access to the bridge as it looks better from a distance

Pravcicka brana is a beautiful site within a medium-difficult walk from the town of Hrensko. As the title says, it is the largest arch in Europe and is an impressive sight. There is a nominal charge to enter the site up close and you can no longer walk along the top of it, but there are plenty of beautiful viewing areas. There is a decent restaurant located right at the arch. To make it a little more enjoyable, consider going during the week. It can be a bit crowded at weekends.

It is probably entirely due to our own (unrealistic) expectations, but after the walk/climb up, the Pravcicka Brana wasn't as spectacular as we'd thought it'd be. You can get really close to it without paying the extra entrance fee - which we didn't. It seems the entrance fee will only get you to the terrace underneath the arch, which actually rather spoils the view and the surroundings.

I would definitely recommend starting at Mezni Louka, you will have a way more gradual ascent than when starting from Hrensko. I actually enjoyed the walk from Pravcicka Brana to Mezni Louka (we took the route the other way around, which I don't recommend) more than the arch itself. The route gives you some great views as you walk along the hills' edges. There's also more parking place available in Mezni Louka.

We started in Hřensko, on the Czech side of the Elbe river. This is an easy steepish walk up but at a good meandering angle slowly going up and up and no need to stop and catch your breath. It takes about 50 mins. The archway is very impressive and there are lots of viewpoints to see it from different angles. There is a big chateau next to it and this is a good place to use the toilet and have a snack or a drink. You have to pay to go into it but it is worth it because then you have the opportunity to climb higher up steps and take in other viewpoints of amazing rock formations. You need at least half an hour here to explore and soak up the views. Then return to the chateau and continue down through canyons and beautiful trees until you reach the bottom. ( takes about 75 mins). Walk along the road for about 20 mins and then at a cafe go down another steep switched back path with steps deep into another gorge ( takes about 20 mins ) and then another 20 mins to walk downstream beside the river and then you reach a cafe where you catch one the of the boat/punts and the ride takes about half an hour. When you reach the end you have a lovely 20 mins walk along the side of the river and walk through short rock cut tunnels to reach your parked car. All hotels have a map of this walk. We felt that is was an easier walk this way around and it was great to finish with a boat ride, the drivers are funny and there are lots of surprises along the way. You have to catch the boat for that part of the journey as there is no path but there is room on the boats for buggies and dogs. A fabulous day out and one that children who are old enough to walk will enjoy.

Due to time constraints and reluctance to cover part of the path from Hřensko via a rather unattractive asphalted road, we decided to drive to Mezni Louka, park there, take the red tourist path and go all the way back. There is a restaurant just by the red path exit that is far superior to Pravčická brána's one and might support a nice closure of the day. The walk was nice and even with children it was under 1,5 hrs each way. Should you have the whole day at your disposal, you could make a full circle either from Hřensko or from Mezni Louka, with canyons and boat passages throught the first stage of your trip and Pravčická brána on your way back (the boats are unavailable late in the day and you want to leave the highlight for last). When you reach the site, just remember that the space below the arc and the restaurant building is only a part of the site (the restaurant building hosts a small art exhibition on its top floor, by the way) - it is worth to pay admission fee and climb up. At least two of the viewpoints there are great. Overall, while I found the well-established Bastei bridge and its surroundings that we visited the same day more unique, Pravčická brána trip was at least as good overall experience.
