This bridge is a natural wonder, it's huge and there are amazing viewing points all around the bridge. The restaurant is quite tastefully made as well.

Contrary to other advice, I would say that the ticket to enter behind the restaurant is worth it. There are amazing viewing points to be seen. And while the restaurant is nothing amazing, it's a nice place to rest after a long ascent.

When we arrived we had good luck because of nice sunny day. Parking price was about 150-200 kč (5.9 - 7.86 €).

Many Germany tourists but they were so polite and greeted us 😇

Way to place wasn’t so hard to beat, so we where there quite quick, but scenery was total beautiful.

At the top, there is a restaurant and entrance has price, but we didn’t pay so price is unknown for us ❤️

But to sum up, it was very nice trip and i can easily recommend 😌

Last and final stop on our trip was Pravcicka Brana, I read that it was in the chronicles of narnia, but to be honest by the end of the trip i was more interested in a final beer a good nights sleep and the drive back to germany. The views are breathtaking and the hike is quite pleasant, make sure to do the whole loop. A bit of a downside was that there was little to no information posted in english, mostly german and czech language, but we found the people along the way quite helpful.

We did a fantastic half day hike here encompassing Pravcicka and the Kamenice Gorge. Very doable for people of all abilities and if you get tired part way through you can always take the bus part way. We did the loop as follows:
Parked in Mezni Louka, €4 for the day and they give you a map of the loop which is handy. Walked 1hr to Pravcicka Brana (€3 pp/75CZK entry, the viewpoints aren't open until 10am so don't start before 9am unless you're a slow hiker). Spent 1.5 hours enjoying the viewpoints, eating our packed snacks and taking photos. Hiked 45 mins down to Hrensko. Hiked 20 mins up Kamenice gorge. Took the ferry 20 mins through gorge - our captain was a riot, he really hammed it up and gave us a good show. Hiked 15 mins up gorge. Took 2nd ferry for 15 mins. Walked 30 mins back to Mezni Louka. Total of about 4hrs walking/on ferry for fit 30 year olds. Could have been shortened by bussing from trailhead to Hrensko and from end of 1st ferry back to Mezni Louka. Overall this was a super easy, well-marked walk with great variety of scenery and the ferries through the gorge were a treat - bring small change, CZK or euros accepted. Highly recommend walking from Mezni Louka rather than Hrensko - from Mezni Louka the trail went only very gently up and was flat at times and was scenic with lovely forest, views of huge sandstone cliffs on one side and views of the mountains on the other almost the whole way. The trail from Hrensko is a bit steeper and there really isn't much to see on the way, so really glad we didn't come up from Hrensko. The gorge was lovely but cold in September, take a light jacket with you. Overall I can't rate this 5* as it seemed just a bit too commercial around Pravcicka Brana but I guess they need to make an entry fee to help maintain the walkways etc and keep them safe! Otherwise a really enjoyable hike with lots to see a long the way and not very strenuous considerate views from the top!

First things first : the only place where the presence of wasps is problematic is in the bar, especially if you are having beer or softdrinks. You will hardly meet any wasps during the walk or on the different viewpoints. Also the wasp-population is at its peak in August so things will soon get better.

I do not recommend starting your walk from Hrensko since depending from where you parked your car you will need to walk at least 1,5km along the main road.

My recommendation is to park your car at Mezni Louka, a small settlement +/- 7km east of Hrensko. You cannot miss the big parking lot behind the hotel.

From here take a bus in the direction of Hrensko and get off at the first stop (ticket price 19 Kc/adult).

Bus timings can be found here : http://www.vlak-bus.cz
Type "Hrensko, Mezni Louka" in the field Odkud
Type "Hřensko,,Pravčická brána" in the field Kam

The place where you need to get off is alternatively known as "Hrensko, Tri Prameny", Check exact position on Google Maps using this link : https://www.google.com/maps/place/50°52'51.2"N+14°16'12.2"E/@50.880883,14.270064,17z

From here you have to climb for +/- 2,5km to reach Pravcicka Brana (Prebischtor).

After visiting the site (entrance fee 75Kc/adult), follow the red trail for 6km back to Mezni Louka. This is a very beautiful walk through the forests and along rock formations. It is mostly flat in the beginning and descends towards Mezni Louka in the end.

OK., so we had eyes on the Pravcice Gate from sometime. However, when "young puppies" write that trail is easy, it doesn't mean much. In "certain" age the hike levels are measured differently. Facts: there two trails to get to the gate. One is from Mezni Louki. If you by car, park at the Hotel - 100 Kc for the whole day. Initially, the trail goes up, and up. Be tough, because it is only at the beginning, and soon the trail becomes flat and easy. Hike is thru dense forest, so there is shade, and along nice rock formations! Just a beauty. It is suitable for senior hikers!!!!
The second path is from Hrensko. It is 1,5 km along the asphalt road (there is frequent bus between Hrensko and Mezni Louki with the bus stop just at the foothill of the trail). Then it is 3,5 km of steep up terrain without any flat area. We took it on our way down and it was mistake, we paid with our knees and hips.
Both trails meet at the bottom of the rock, and from there needs to climb a few floors up. There are no steps, just a switch back ramps. This part of trail is exposed to sun, but the view of gate is getting closer and closer so it is easy to dig some extra energy. Soon the hotel is there - the entrance fee is 75Kc, and 25Kc for seniors. To the right is the gate/arch, picnic tables and restaurant with terrace. Resting in such beautifull place is nice. however, this is not the end. From the cashier booth there is a path to the left. It leads to the stairs chiseled in the rock, up, up, and up again. It is a climb equivalent of few floors heights but it is absolutely!!!!!! worth it. It is a view point across and above the Gate. If you saw pictures from tourist folders, this is a place they took it from. Amazing view!!!
If you plan to hike Kamenice River Gorge w/boats rides, I would take the trail to Mezni Louki again, and then a bus to Hrensko. The boats should be opened until 18:00 in the summer. Good luck.

Bohemia Swiss National Park is stunning and this is a very easy day trip to do from Prague. I would definitely recommend it.

How to get there (suggested)
Take the 8:30am-10:00am train from Prague to Decin. Then take the 434 bus (right outside the train station exit) to Hrensko, stop Pravcicka brana. The bus ride is about 20 minutes.

It takes about 45-50 minutes to walk to the Gate. From there we walked to Mezni Louka and to Edmund's Gorge. We finished at about 3:30, took the 4:20pm bus back to Decin and caught the 5:25pm train to Prague.

PS Bring food for the hike. Only fries, pancakes, and sausage are served at the restaurant on top.

There is a small fee for the gate and Edmund's gorge.

We started in Hřensko, on the Czech side of the Elbe river. This is an easy steepish walk up but at a good meandering angle slowly going up and up and no need to stop and catch your breath. It takes about 50 mins. The archway is very impressive and there are lots of viewpoints to see it from different angles. There is a big chateau next to it and this is a good place to use the toilet and have a snack or a drink. You have to pay to go into it but it is worth it because then you have the opportunity to climb higher up steps and take in other viewpoints of amazing rock formations. You need at least half an hour here to explore and soak up the views. Then return to the chateau and continue down through canyons and beautiful trees until you reach the bottom. ( takes about 75 mins). Walk along the road for about 20 mins and then at a cafe go down another steep switched back path with steps deep into another gorge ( takes about 20 mins ) and then another 20 mins to walk downstream beside the river and then you reach a cafe where you catch one the of the boat/punts and the ride takes about half an hour. When you reach the end you have a lovely 20 mins walk along the side of the river and walk through short rock cut tunnels to reach your parked car. All hotels have a map of this walk. We felt that is was an easier walk this way around and it was great to finish with a boat ride, the drivers are funny and there are lots of surprises along the way. You have to catch the boat for that part of the journey as there is no path but there is room on the boats for buggies and dogs. A fabulous day out and one that children who are old enough to walk will enjoy.

Pravcicka Brana is magic romantic place in the middle of national park Ceske Svycarsko. You can enyoy walk with nice views from central parking Hrensko or Mezni louka. For 4EUR per day you can leave here you car, don't park on the road, because it is prohibit and check often. Take drinks and meals with you, because in the restraurant at Pravcicka Brana is all disgusting. You can buy daily special water soup - in their language it is cabige, plastic sausage, plastic French frize or other plastic specialities. Soft dring with promo price printed on bottle 12CZK you can buy on 40. If you love your children, don't buy them nothing, excluding post card.

Pravčická brána access
There is an entry fee and working hours. There is a working restaurant and fast food with tables. You need to hike in really hilly area, but there is a lot of shade. You can go shorter but more steep trail (from Hřensko) or longer going the most steep part only down (see below).

Suggested path
It is about 13 km and it takes around 5 hours including restaurant and all the sightseeing. Park or stay at Mezni Louka. The parking lot at Hotel is for 100 Kč a day. Take the red trail. It is hilly, but not so much and not so long. There is enough shade and what to see all the track. After the Pravčická brána there is the steep descend. When you arrive at the main road (at Tři prameny), there is a bus stop. Take the bus no 434 back to the Mezní Louka. It have turns each hour in summer, currently at x.38 last going at 20:38. It is just one stop, but it is worth of it. If you want and have time, go down to Hřensko, look around and use one of bus stops there. In that case I suggest to end at sightseeing point "Labská vyhlídka", which is above the bus stop called "Hřensko, nábřeží (waterfront)", just use the stairs marked by yellow trail sign.
