The meteorological column was built in1882. At present it can be found about 50 m from its original site, in a park near the Gas Spa. The meteorological column was made primarily for spa patients, who wanted accurate data about the spa climate. It measures barometric pressure, which influences naturally rising carbon dioxide, one of the natural healing sources in Františkovy Lázně.…

This little weather station stands just behind the New Colonnade in the corner of the park. It is interesting, nothing worth a long traveling but once in the town it makes sense to stop there. One can find not only current weather values but also some region records and climate data.…
