Very well placed in Cesky Krumlov . The building is wonderful. The room we get wasn’t a 5 stars hotel room. In minibar we had 2 botles of water, nothing else. Generaly speaking , the people were nice.

This hotel is in an excellent location. Located just as you enter town and close enough to walk to all the sites. It is an old historic building, previously used as accomodation for monks. The lobby is very nicely decorated and looks beautiful.
Our room (310) is on the third floor and accessed by a small lift. The room is a good size with a small window with great views over the river. It is a good size with a lot of room for luggage. The ceiling does slope considerably, so be careful of your head particularly near the bed. There is air conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities and Flat screen TV (CNN available). There are two large single beds pushed together (there is a gap) but they are comfortable enough (the pillows are good).
The bathroom is a fair size with a toilet, bath/shower (no shower curtain) and vanity basin.
Unfortunately there was a pump/knocking sound right throughout the night, which made sleep hard (this is the reason I rated the hotel lower) so I would advise you to avoid this room, unless the noise has gone.
Breakfast in the morning was delicious. There was an excellent range of cereals, hot foods and pastries/breads.

The hotel is situated very good, walking distance from everywhere. The rooms are super spacious and clean. One thing I can say, is that the parking provided by the hotel for the night was very expensive and not on site.

We did not stay at this hotel because it is THE most expensive place to stay in all of Cesky Krumlov and there are so many more very nice reasonably priced options. But a visit to the hotel is worth it for a couple of reasons.
First, right across the street in front of the hotel there is a little park with THE BEST VIEW of the castle from anywhere in the whole town. Every body goes there to take photos of the castle and the view is amazing!
Second, there is a little craft market in the courtyard with a variety of vendors and it is a fun shopping experience.
Third, the hotel has beautiful display of medieval armour and clothing and the painting on the building is worth a photo.
So do go visit the hotel, walk inside the lobby and the indoor courtyard, take photos at the view point. It’s definitely worth a stop!

Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. The place was dirty. Our fridge was filthy with mold and their was a thin layer of dust over the furniture. The staff seem under stress. The computer in the foyer never worked the entire time we were there. Maid service was hit and miss.

Very good location and comfortable hotel. The hotel itself is full of history and a lovely building. There is a terrace facing the river which is great for taking photos. There is a park right opposite to the hotel and it is overlooking the town, another great location for photo taking.

When one chooses to stay at the Hotel Ruze, the first thing to greet you is the spectacular lobby. It’s filled with wonderful pieces of art. Also notice the areas where the layers of stucco are painstakingly being removed to reveal the history of the hotel.
Highly Recommended

Excellent hotel in Cesky Krumlov. First, Cesky Krumlov is a fairy tale romantic village and should not be missed on a week long trip to Prague. We booked our trip on the very comfortable and air conditioned Regiojet (regiojet.cz) bus line from Prague..about 3 hour trip time....about 7 Euros each way. The hotel is a 10 minute downhill walk from the AN bus station. We called Green Taxi and they picked us up and took us to the hotel since we had more luggage than we could roll. We stayed two nights at the hotel in April. The room was very clean, lovely, and the decor evoked the middle ages theme of the town and hotel while being very comfortable. We booked our room through the hotel website directly in English. The reception desk had fluent English speakers and were very helpful. A very nice full buffet breakfast was included in the room rate. Don't miss taking your breakfast on the hotel outside terrace overlooking the river and town, weather permitting. Room 215 has a direct castle view and was perfect for us. Overall, we had a wonderful time here with zero negative issues. Highly Recommended.

It is like going back in time. Loads of character and charm. The food and drinks were delightful but its verandah was just sublime overlooking the river and the weir......cameras at the ready. Recommended.
