I wanted so badly to go to a marionette museum. I looked up the hours to this online ahead of time but arrived to find them closed regardless. I went the next day 1.5 hours before close and they said actually they were closing in a half hour. I asked if I could just go for a half hour - I was happy to pay full price. "No." Come back tomorrow. I asked when they opened. They said 10am the next morning. I came back at 10:30am and they were closed (their sign said they'd be open too). I ended up going to a wonderful marionette museum on the other side of the river, the Fairytale House Puppet Museum. Much friendlier, more welcoming, and a fantastic huge display of marionettes for a nominal fee. Find them at Radnichni 29.

This is a lovely little museum just by the castle steps. An amazing selection of marionettes of various ages. Up in the rafters of an old building it was a little stuffy but well worth the visit

This was fun for a little while. It doesn’t take long to tour the little museum, maybe 30 minutes. It’s up in an attic, which adds to the atmosphere. Hardly anyone was in there and after a few short minutes we had the whole place to ourselves. Go and enjoy.

Probably the most boring museum I have ever visited - the gift shop is more interesting. It is simply a collection of marionettes and props from old theatres around a room with no information, stories or interaction. Definitely not worth visiting unless you are a marionette afficionado
