Situated in the old mill, which is a protected monument. Originally it was located at the ground floor of the mill where aat present a stylish restaurant is housed. During the floods of August 2002 the mill was completely flooded, justa few months later the museum was opened on the second floor, the exhibits were then amended and supplemented, on display are more than 20 motocycles of different Czech and foreign brands such as Jawa, ČZ, BMW, NSU and Harley Davidson. An integral part is the historic motorcycles sales gallery, where also the tower clock, other clocks, antique furniture, decorations and machines are exhibited. In the Gallery paintings (especially Czech painters such as Wilhelm Fischer, Bohuslav Coufala, etc), the Gallery has no thematic one-sided emphasis: picturesque corners of Český Krumlov, landscapes, portraits and images with religious themes, productions in Baroque- as well as in modern style, second half 20th century.

As someone who rode a Jawa from Panama to Ohio back in 1971, I was delighted to discover the museum. It wasn't listed on the normal tourist sites but I happened to see it on a map with a more off-the-wall focus. And it's not the easiest place to find, as there's no signage for the museum -- it's upstairs from a restaurant just before you cross the foot bridge on Siroka heading toward the castle -- and the address, #80, doesn't appear on the building. But when you see an old CZ hanging from the ceiling just inside the door, you know you're in the right place. The only letdown for me was that the newest bike was a '58, I think, nothing from *my* era. To add to the quirkiness of the place, they have a nice display of antique cuckoo clocks!

If you are motorcycles fan, this is the place for you to stop and feast you eyes on all the old motorcycles and related paraphernalia, mainly old Czech Jawa and CZ motorcycles as well as German BMW and Zundapp motorcycles from before WW2, helmets etc. that place them in the context with the time.

A small 2 storey museum devoted to old motorcycles and related paraphernalia. The motorcycles are mainly old Czech ones (CZ, MZ etc) and old captured German BMWs from WW2. The entrance fee is a bargain and the museum is an essential visit for anyone that is interested in old motorcycles.. The exhibits are surrounded by lots of related material - advertising boards, helmets etc. - that place them in context with the period.

Moto Muzeum is a museum located in the old town of České Budéjovice. The museum is little, but here you can see a lot of models of motorcycle from early XXth Century until now. It is an interesting museum, especially if you are a fan of motos.

I found this by accident, just saw a hanging motorcycle through the door in the street, and it's a quite nice thing to see. I mostly don't like this kind of museums, but had fun here.
