    Wonderful church above the Vltava
One of the most famous buildings in Cesky Krumlov is located on a hill above the Vltava in the historic center of the city. It offers a beautiful view from the bridge over the Vltava. The temple is included in the list of UNESCO sites in the Czech Republic and is a national cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

Beautiful church built over the past 500 years
Not surprisingly Cesky Krumlov has a church to St. Vitus (as I think nearly every town does). But this one has taken 500 years to build and really is exceptionally pretty on the inside. It appears gothic in style (like large central naive) but also has elements of other styles throughout the ages. It’s not exceptionally large and one can have a good viewing of the church in about 30 minutes, so it definitely is worth a peek in while in Cesky Krumlov.

    Nice Visit
This is a mandatory church stop while in town, but having seen so many churches on our vacation, this one did not rise to the level of must see - wow. Still, worth a poke inside for a few pictures. Can’t miss it since centrally located.

    Beautiful Church!
The Church is very beautiful and peaceful! It’s quite bigger than what I expected. It’s a bit dark in there but very quiet which I liked. The altar was very big and really took my breath away. It’s diffidently one of prettiest churches I have seen.

    Lovely Church
The Church of St. Vitus is located close to the main square. It is quite small but still worth visiting. This church has interesting architecture from the early 1300s.

The church is majestic reflecting the prosperous times of this once superpowerful town. Decorations are great and the grace of the place is touching.

    Small church
This is a small church that is seemingly large from the outside. Architecture of Gothic design with Neo Gothic tower.

    Do stop..
Part of our tour, we stop and visited this church. Unfortunately it was Sunday and there was a mass, so we could not go too close to the front or alter, we had to be very quiet. No photos please was indicated on signs. From what we saw, you felt the gothic presence. Another impressive Czech church!.

    Underrated attraction
There is a St. Vitus cathedral in Prague but this church is just as good if not better. It has an amazing interior which is worth checking out. It was weird all tourists kept walking by and did not peek inside which has all the cool interior.

At the end of our day, just before getting into our car to take us back to Prague, we popped into St. Vitus' Church. It is quite beautiful. I wish they allowed photography - for my memory of the interior has already faded.

We have seen a lot of old churches in Europe and while this one isn't spectacular, it's worth a few minutes. The pipe organ is interesting and it was amazing how clearly you can hear the river from inside the church

This church is located just off the main square. It is quite small but still worth visiting. It originally opened in the early 1300s. It has been modified several times through the centuries. It has some lovely statues and frescoes. You can even light a candle here if you are so inclined.
