Very Interesting History of Budweiser Beer
Sep 2021
Interesting to know Budweiser Beer we have been drinking all along is not the original, it is Czech Budweiser (Budvar) is the original. Very interesting history. Unfiltered beer sampling was too good. Worth visiting for beer lovers.

Great atmosphere and friendly customer service.
Love the Budvar Beer and the marinated spare ribs. 😋👌🏻🥳
Easy access to the location, but parking is limited.

Interesting history
Aug 2020
While on the way to Prague we stopped by the town of Budweis and learned that there is a budweiser in the czech repuublic. We did a tour of the brewery and I have to say it is definitely better than the american one but not the best beer on our trip. interesting tour and quite the history. Recommend if you have a bit of time to spare.

Fabulous tour, don't miss it!

Outstanding. Milada gave me an hour-long trip around this fascinating place: somewhere that beer is, and always has been, of massive importance to the town and its history. Who knew?
Anyway I cannot recommend this highly enough, even if all you want is to see a factory.line. Also, the museum and its displays (for example going down 350 m to the aquifer) is great too.
And then there is the beer itself..😁😁😁

Go take a tour with jan kratky (George)
Jan 2020 • Couples
My boyfriend loves czech beer, last time we went to pollen so this time it was off to budvar. We were met by George and given a fantastic tour of the brewery, my personal highlight was the bottle room, seeing the beer put into bottles and packed but I did also enjoy the beer in the cellar. It was a 2 hour train ride from prague which was itself fun and definitely worth it.

I really enjoyed this ...Natalie the guide was very kInd and answered many questions. I learned a lot and appreciate the first part of the museum. The second part showing where sales are was not informative.

Extremely disorganized and worthless tour
Nov 2019
Considering that this brewery - the original Budweiser beer - must get a lot of tourists for the brewery tour, they certainly haven't learned how to organize it. Up to 50 people are allowed on a tour and when we were there, there were well over a hundred people with tickets. They divided us up into Czech, English and German language groups, but each one was still very large. Then, they left only 5 minutes between each group's departure, so at each point on the tour that we were to see, there was a long wait for the group ahead to be finished (while another group waited behind us). The tour was suppsoed to be about an hour, but it was closer to 1-1/2 hours because of all the waiting. Then, we could hardly hear our guide - perhaps only people standing right in front of her could hear, but the rest of us couldn't. It would be a good idea for guides to have microphones or something. The crowded group also made it difficult to actually see anything. So it was a wasted hour and half just standing around or moving slowly like cattle. Didn't learn anything about the brewery.

The only place in the whole world
Oct 2019 • Friends
The shop at brewery is the place to buy best upon leaving the town. There you can find all the possible Budvar beers as well as souvenirs. Buy limited term beer - the best from all the Budweiser line, this beer can't be found abroad.

Extremely Rude Staff With "I don't care and I don't need your business" attitude
Oct 2019 • Business
We wanted to purchase a souvenir which cost €6 from their souvenir shop but the lady at the cashier said they only accepted notes, no coins. We had €6 exact but she wouldn't take it because €1 was a coin. She only gave us a choice of either using credit card or giving her €10 which she would then return us change in Crowns (which was useless to us as it was our last day in CZ and we can't use Crowns in neighboring countries). The lady was extremely impatient and rude, with the "you can follow our terms or f*** off" kind of attitude, eventhough we could have used our card, we decided not to support Budweiser any further with this kind of treatment from staff. Another incident was the Budweiser tour guide screaming at us not to crowd around the shop entrance (it was a small space and we were a large group, everyone was shopping, what did you expect?!). This Budweiser tour guide also screamed at our group tour guide over a frikking Budweiser umbrella that one of our members accidentally left at one of the viewing spots which we have already identified and was confirmed the umbrella was there when she found it and came back with it. Not even a single word of apology. Sad to say, this entire experience with the Budweiser brand was a very disappointing. There were more than 200 of us in our group and we are sure to no longer support this brand with this kind of ill mannered staff, reflects so much about the company and its culture.

Very rude and bad attitude staff handling the souvenir shop. She was practically yelling at our your guide over a freaking umbrella. A long established beer branding ruined by bad attitude employees. Will stop supporting the Budweiser brand in order not to support rude employees. Not a worthwhile visit.
