This is not worth the money. We parked and were told we needed a €20 ticket (per adult) to see the main falls. This isn’t the case, the ticket gives you access to a small cafe, and a view of a fairly average waterfall from a boat jetty. There was also no signposts about where to go guides about on the short walk. The cafe also offered ‘iced coffee’, which we ordered as it was c40 degree’s Celsius, and were served a lukewarm latte which was grim. All in all a complete waste of money.
A guide near the ticket ‘office’ told us there was an amphitheatre about a 20-30 minute drive away which was also included but we didn’t visit this.

Nobody seems to have mentioned the extortionate entrance charges to the national park.
Thirty euros per adult per day to walk to a waterfall that falls a long way short of the best waterfall I've ever seen.
For me, it was not worth it!
I think you can buy a multi-entrance ticket to Krka national park, but that is still extortionate.
My advice would be to go somewhere else. Probably not in Croatia, since extortionate entrance fees seem to be a theme!

When you arrive the is two price lists one to do a small walk and see a cave 20 euro. The walk wasn’t by any means worth the money. To see the main waterfall it’s 40 euro extortion

Tricky to find if you're driving. Follow the sat nav but go past the official looking "entrance and car park" and the unofficial looking "free national park parking" in a lay-by. Just keep driving until you cross a yellow bridge. Then you're there. Once you're there - it's amazing. You can swim in the lake, have a picnic and the beer is super cheap!

We arrived to Krka National Park early in the morning and did Skradinski buk before mad crowd of tourists arrived. Afterwards we took our car and drove to Roski Slap (about 30 mins drive). This is much quieter part. We didn’t need to buy another ticket as it valid for all entrances. There is a beautiful lake where you can swim about 5 mins walk from the car park. If you are there- have lunch in Kristijan! You can sit with your legs in the waterfall if you want. It’s simple menu of ham , cheese and salad but with delicious bread and nice olive oil was very tasty. We brought our own sandwiches but decided to have lunch there anyway as it was so tempting. Afterwards we climbed 500m to see prehistoric cave. It’s quite small but fascinating considering it’s so high up! The steps are very well maintained and was easy to climb. The views from the top are spectacular. On the way back we crossed the bridge and walked on the other bank of the river completing the loop to the car park. While doing stopped for an ice cream (only 10k vs 15 in Skradinski buk). I’m so glad we saw this part of the park! I think there are other trails that you can do but it was 4pm by the time we finished and we started at 9am in the Park. Kids were keen to go back to the pool. Would highly recommend not to miss it as it creates totally different impression of this place. We loved it!

We got there at 18:40 and just had 20 minutes to visit, which was nothing. But nobody was there and the lake was so quiet and calm. The view was perfect in the sunset light and it turned to one of the most memorable moments of our trip.

Having found Shadrin very busy we decided to drive to Roski Slap. We were very excited to arrive and find it not too busy and with lots of park rangers ready to take our money and explain where everything was (including the waterfall!)We could not locate the waterfall and when we asked again were told there was no water at this time of year. It was not worth the entrance fee or the time and effort of getting there. I am not convinced that you are able to see the falls shown in the pictures without going in a boat at any time.

Sorry to be negative but these are not very inspiring waterfalls and not really worth the park fee. It would be nice if National Parks in Croatia and their natural features were free as a matter of course. These were nothing to write home about and to charge money to park and walk to a picnic spot is not exactly encouraging tourism. The falls are nothing spectacular seen from land and you do need to be on one of the boats I suspect to have a decent view.
Better is the walk up the 517 steps just above the falls besides the more gentle flight of waterfalls, called the Necklaces. Great views along the gorge, but the cave at the top is another disappointment- a 59 metre long dead end tunnel and, for some reason, there is a Park Ranger at the entrance checking tickets..!
Skradinski Buk was far more impressive and worth the effort. It is a 4km walk in from where you have to park the car, (unless you get the boat from Skradin); the walk is a dull slog along a gravel track beside the lake that takes about an hour. Better to maybe hire bikes from Skradin. It seems, however, that your entrance fee includes a boat back, if you don't fancy the slog (at least, nobody had their ticket checked when we boarded). Best to check though.

We did not have the time to do the whole park so went to Roski Slap to see the waterfalls there. As we approached by car from the North we were stopped in the road by park rangers and they explained that we should park where they stopped us, buy a ticket (HRS 60 each) and then walk down to the cascades. We followed their directions and the first set of cascades were low in water but beautiful just the same. We then went down to see the main waterfall only to discover that you can't see it without arriving by boat from the South. A complete con. Our ticket basically gave us access to a commercial cafe area and a few old mills -basically just a lunch stop but you pay to access it. Ridiculous - don't bother.

Roski Slap at Krka - Hi, has anyone recently been to Roski slap? Is it worth going there, as many reviews mentioned that there i snot much water, so not worth it. We will be seeing Plitvice the day before, and we are not that much interested in swimming. We are there to enjoy the nature and hike. We don't have a car, so dependent on the boat from the park only. Thanks.

Hi, We were there about a month ago. We hiked from Vosovac Monastery to Roski Slap ( about 4 1/2 hrs return) - a very very beautiful hike with great views on a well marked trail. Roski Slap was a little disappointing compared to the cascades elsewhere If you are going to Krka NP for more than one day
ask for and buy the Friends of Krka NP park ticket as same price as a one day ticket and gives you entry to the whole park for a year. You need your passport with you to buy this ticket.

Hi, I'm looking at doing the boat excursion from Skradinski Buk to Roski Slap. On the website, it says that the tour is 4 hours with a 30min stop on Visovac island and 1hour stop at Roski Slap. My question is, does anyone know if the 4 hours is total round trip time? Meaning that it takes 1 hour 15mins each way on the boat? Also, do you think 1 hour is enough time at Roski Slap? We will have a car, so we also have the option of driving from Skradin to Roski Slap entrance and I'm trying to figure out which would be the better option. We will have four kids under 12 and visiting in July
Thanks

Hi, I read that some people go from Skradin to Skradinski Buk by boat, come back, then drive to Roski Slap to save time and to avoid depending on the boat on the way back. If you do this way, do you have to pay the entrance fee twice (at Skradin and at Roski Slap), or just once at the entrance from Skradin? Thank you.

Just once, it is the same ticket valid across the park. They will ask you to show your ticket though, make sure you will keep it the whole time with you.
It is a good way to do it as it leaves you more time for hikes at roski slap, in particular to do the necklaces and go up the stairs up to the cave.
