We thoroughly enjoyed the walk from Theth to the waterfall. We saw beautiful wild flowers and butterflies on our way. The waterfall is not remarkable but the journey there and back is a delight.

Situated in the Albanian Alps, this rare result of melted snow waters offers adventurers one of the most rewarding hikes and climbs in the northern region of the country.

It takes approximately an hour to get the waterfall from the center of Theth Village. The hike is spectacular, taking you along a spectacular landscape of rivers, pastures, and mountain slopes. The last leg of the hike involves a 15-minute climb of an intermediate level so be prepared with your best, non-slippery shoes. Although the journey is not especially easy, the reward, as it often happens, is well worth your time and energy. Especially at the very end of your climb, when you will witness a scenery so breathtaking that it will immediately erase any traveling fatigue.

This beautiful natural monument has been protected by the state since 2002, and it is easy to see why! The waterfall’s smooth flow appears like a multi-hued ribbon during the warm hours of the day and continues running through the valley surrounded by the bushes and small trees, which remain green throughout the year.

The waterfall never ceases to amaze the throngs of visitors that come to see it. The flowing water creates an emerald pool at the bottom which completes the rare beauty of this part of Theth. The cliff-sides of the waterfall offer another great opportunity for those who would like to see the springs of the Grunas Waterfall. Please note that the latter is suitable only for very experienced rock climbers!

I loved visiting this waterfall. I actually preferred it to Blue Eye and it is much closer of a walk! You can see the waterfall from a distance and as you get closer the sound of the water gets increasingly louder. It really is quite big once you get there. You can easily spend an hour or two basking in its serenity - bring some food and have lunch here!

Grunas Waterfall is a short hike away from Theth - much closer than Blue Eye. It’ll take 30-60 mins depending on where your accommodation is located. The walk is mostly flat apart from the last 15 minutes to the waterfall - this bit is uphill but easily done. There were all kinds of people up there, young to old, so it can be done by most people. If you are having difficulty there are plenty of places where you can stop on the way up.

For some reason there is free WIFI as the waterfalls too!

It's about an hour hike from the center of the village, though the trail is marked you need to be careful to find the path. Cool spot to visit on a hot summer day, and dip you feet on the icy cold water, or for a quick picnic.

It is an amazing trip to be to Grunasi Waterfall. The path to go from Grunasi Waterfall to Theth at the Blue eye is very beautiful, you must walk to the forest and is amazing especially in spring or autumn 😊
I wish everybody to be there to enjoy the nature.
