I think we didn't choose the correct time to go there (12 pm) regarding the huge trafic jam in the shuttle ... and after no parking place ... so we continued to find a place near a torrent with a lot of sheeps which was...More

Problem of a glacier lake being accessible by car is that you get tons of people wanting to come... But once you get there and get walking (up), you get less and less people and the surroundings are astoundingly beautiful ! There is another beautiful...More

This is a very beautiful glacier lake. When we visited there were a lot of people. Yet it was an enjoyable trip. Leaving this my parting words would be must visit this beauty.

Do it as early in the morning as possible , later it gets very crowded. Beautiful lake at 2000. Good to know the weather forecast to avoid cloudy skies, may happen you will not see much. We were lucky!

Guys it's just beautiful... But if you go there in July when in Bucharest the temperature is 35°... Get clothes with you for 8° and some leftover show. You must go there, it's absolutely amazing

If you visit Romania this is a place you can't miss. The road to here, Transfagarasan is awesome and the view from here is breathtaking. Pack some warm clothes the temperature is pretty low even in the summer.

The lake itself is beautiful. It's set in the middle of the mountains with great views, loving hiking trails and nice restaurants. However, it gets really busy, so get there early and, if possible, avoid weekends!

Magnificent place in the Fagaras Mountains. Reasonably accessible from Cabana Balea even for people with not such a good condition. Exceptional views, colors, nature.

Haven't got vertigo so can't say how bad yours would be but we drove from the south end of the transfagarasan road so when we did drive up the steeper roads to the lake at the top we were on the right which was away from the... More
