If you need a boat rental while you are in Eleuthera, Paul Petty is your guy! We rented a 24 foot Scout with single 250 engine for the week we stayed at Sky Cove. Paul went above and beyond. He delivered the boat within an hour of us checking in. We were able to anchor the boat in our protected bay for the week. It was great to have a boat for the week to take the kids to different snorkeling spots. We also did some fishing and caught some grouper. Paul recommended purchasing a hand held GPS to use on the boat which was helpful for fishing. When we were done with the boat for the week, Paul picked it up the boat at our rental house. Lastly, Gas was cheap for the week. Best way to touch base with Paul was by What's app. He responds within in minutes. Paul, Thanks for making our week in the Bahamas amazing!

We went out with Captain Paul for a half day excursion with small children (6 and 3) in and around Savannah Sound. We had a great time snorkeling, watching turtles, and relaxing on a deserted beach. Would definitely recommend.

I have spent 2 x 1/2 days with Paul walking the flats as well as casting from his flats boat. Paul knows the island extremely well and can take you to many of the flats only accessible by boat. We spotted at least a dozen fish and it was only my modest skills that kept me from landing more than 3 fish each 1/2 day. We never saw another angler. Paul is a real gentleman and offers advice as needed. I did go out on my own later in the week and was able to land another bone and a few 4 pound trigger fish. Compared to other guides, Paul’s rates are very reasonable

Absolutely would not recommend this Fishing charter. We spent tons of time researching a charter and finally, with help from the resort we stayed at, we decided to go with Paul Petty. Don’t be fooled by his “Full Day for $500”, cause it was nothing short of that. We were charged $650 (before tip) for a 1/2 DAY TRIP!!! Yep, that’s right. AND, get this, we were greeted by boat with his 19 year old son who took us a mile or 2 from resort (not even sure if we were on reefs) to catch the tiniest little fish you’ve ever seen. They had crappy rods with no leader, and a bag of little dead minnows. Then, when it was time to go in, we were asked if we wanted the fish...uh, yeah, for the $750 (including tip, cause we are nice people), that we spent, of course we do. Well, he had no bags or anything to put the fish in. Luckily we had a bag leftover that had our breakfast sandwiches in. All around, waste of money and would not recommend. Sorry!

Captain Paul is knowledgeble and very pleasant to spend the day with. He is the real deal. He grew up fishing these waters and knows them like the back of his hands. He took out two novice fly fisher want to be’s and was incredibly patient. I had read articles that August and September are not the best time to fish the flats, and we caught four bone fish. A more experienced caster would have caught more as Paul knew where to find the fish. I recommend going out in the morning for a half day fly fishing . If you are not into fly fishing he has other size boats for different adventures . I have no doubt that whatever your ideal water adventure looks like, Paul will make sure it’s a memory maker. This family friendly operation is definitely who we will call again.
