This is not the beach for everyone. It is wild beach, without any tavern, sun beds, water sport. And even the access is not easy, forgot about any trail leading here. No far from parking lot and two taverns , but after about 200 meters you have to cross the slippery stones with rough sea, recommend to have water shoes to cross this section. If manage this you will be rewarded by unspoiled and splendid sandy beach. The aqua marine water is crystal clear and deep enough for good swimming. Recommended beach for relaxing time. Much better than some Skopelos famous beaches.

If by car - park your car close to Captain Spiros taverna in Neo Klima head towards the sea and when there just continue left. Be prepared for some rocky terrain / sharp stones, a few meters wading in water before you reach the first of several bays.

We really enjoyed our time at this wild beach. No taverna, sun bed/umbrellas, shower facility at this beaches. In case you need an umbrella / shelter from the sun, you have to bring / make your own one. Only limited shadow provided by the cliff / one or the other tree.

Perfect for relaxing, snorkeling (crystal clear water, fishes) and jumping from rocks into the deeper water.

We had an amazing time there (including an almost kitschy sunset with very smooth sea :-)

We parked at Captain Spiros taverna in Neo Klima and walked to the town beach and turned left, walking along the cliffside to the beach. Not the easiest of walks as it is large boulders and some of it is wading through water. The water here is absolute bliss - the brightest turquoise clear water with a beach of pale course sand. It is shady until midday and quiet with no sun beds or facilities.

My daughter and I visited this beach following recommendations from our hotels staff. We took the local bus from Skopelos Town, got off at Hovolo and enjoyed the short walk down to the beach. We were told to keep going to the left after the beach bar which we did. Other reviews have stated that it was a hairy clamber over rocks..... that I dispute, unless you have walking difficulties, in which case I would give this beach a miss. It was a short walk, with some rocks and at one point you dipped your toes in the sea. Beach shoes would be useful, but not essential, my daughter did it in ‘slides’. To quote a Greek phrase the small, narrow beach was not ‘organised’ (no tavernas or sunbeds), which I assume is why it was so quiet, though I do recommend, as others have said, that you pack an umbrella for shade. The water was gloriously clear, blue with plenty of marine life. Some locals were enjoying jumping off the rocks into the sea, great entertainment, needless to say we gave that a miss!!! Another must do whilst visiting Skopelos.

You have to go to the Neo Klima village.
Looking at the beach, you follow the path on the left, and you walk for 10 min to reach the beautiful beach.
You need to walk for a while in the sea (the water reaches your bottom).
The clean, light blue water, with the rocks behind make a beautiful scenery.

There are a lot of good reviews about this beach, but it's not in my top five. In addition it takes a geat effort to reach it.

The beach and the water was fine, but Skopelos has some even better beaches, easier accesible. There aren't any umbrellas or shadow, so one should bring his/her own umbrella.

Hovolos is an isolated beach at western Skopelos. The main characteristic of this beach is its wild beauty, with big white rocks surrounding the white sand and greenish waters. The huge rocks provide natural shade to the visitors, who should make provisions for water, beach mats and snacks. Hard to traverse paths connect this beach to smaller beaches next to it. The main path leading to Hovolos is also a bit slippery, so visitors should be careful. - See more at: http://www.cycladia.com/best-beaches-greece/hovolo-beach/#sthash.1eBFHRn3.dpuf

It’s not particularly easy to get there as you have to go through the rocky path, but it’s worth it. There is no sun beds or umbrellas, nor coffee shops, so bring everything you think you’ll need

Hovolo Beach. Reached by a walk through the surf at the bottom of the cliffs. Well worthwhile as it’s quiet, the water clear and great views.

On the way stop at the excellent beach bar: organised beach to the right, walk to Hovolo Beach on the left.

If it’s boat hire you’re after go to the harbour and find Nicos (or Dora his wife). They’re helpful and delightful and a day in your own little boat to explore the coast and isolated coves has to be done. Brilliant instruction and safety talk.
