What people are saying
Amazing tour, ridiculously good value!
Oct 2018
We were a little last minute booking our tour and so didn’t think we would get a spot, however Jose answered my emails in the evening way past working hours and got us booked in for two days later added to a group of uni students from all different countries. The tour itself was pretty amazing, getting to see the ‘before and after’ of how they go about the process of making their beer with Jose on hand to answer any questions. First their old facility which they have turned into a small museum and secondly the new modern hi tech one which is pumping the great beer out all over the world :D Now I’ve been on some tasting events and you will get given a shot glass of 4 different beers etc. Not this place!!! At a beautiful little bar in their museum there were 5 of the more popular beers on offer which Jose gave us a chalice full to try each one (even a nice fruity one for the ladies;)) Then he starts pulling out bottles from left right and centre with another 10+ flavours from mango to coconut to their special edition Christmas one! It’s at this point the head brewmaster then stops by for a few drinks and to chat all about what he does at the brewery to showing us how they taste the beer to make sure it’s of good quality etc (what he’d obviously stopped by to do haha) and again refilling our glasses long after the group we were with had to leave! Definitely the best 8€ each me and my fiancé have ever spent. Hands down. Thank you to all in the brewery for making such a great bunch of beers and for providing such a amazing experience for us to come and see!

9 of us visited on a Saturday - thanks to rail engineering works we were 30 minutes late to the tour but they waited for us. Jan the guide was excellent and the tasting session was great - unlike the big brewery tours which limit the number of samples the tasters kept flowing until we left.

Exactly what we had hoped

Huyghe provides a well crafted tour in a beautiful facility. It is a company that clearly cares both about its beers and its customers. Jose is a gem. Definitely worth a stop, but call ahead to schedule a tour or chance your luck.

We turned up on a wet Thursday at about 11am expecting to get a beer and a wee look about. We got a full guided tour and tasted 3 of the beers for 10€. The tour took us through the whole factory whilst it was functioning. Jose the tour guide was brilliant, answered all questions and served us some beer after. Fantastic

Best Brewery visit in Belgium
Apr 2018 • Couples
I have done a couple of brewery visits in Belgium and this is by far the best. They actually take you through their factory and you get up close and personal for larger scale beer making. José provided us with an excellent tour and tasting. Would highly recommende a visit.

One of the better beer tours I have taken
Feb 2018 • Couples
This was a great experience, Delerium was the first beer I had that made me fall in love with Belgian style ales so I really made it a priority to visit this place during my Belgium vacation. It did not disappoint, Jose our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful with questions that we had. He even arranged the tour two months after I originally contacted him with me having to reengage the conversation.

At the end of the tour we had a full hour to drink as much as we wanted of almost all of the beers that are brewed on premise. This only cost 10 Euro! So worth it. I highly recommend.

Outstanding tour and beer!

My wife and I are beer people and we’ve visited great breweries in many countries, but this one will definitely go to the top of the list as Jose made it such an amazing experience! Quick Logistics – Melle is about a 20 minute taxi from Ghent. We took an Uber from Brussels to see the sites in Ghent in the morning and then a taxi to Melle for the brewery tour – they are also located next to a small train station which we took back to Brussels that night (it takes several stops). We contacted Jose at the brewery about 2 weeks beforehand to arrange a private tour (the large tours were all sold out). We met Jose at the brewery and he poured us a welcome beer which was a great start! We then watched a brief video on the history of the owning family (5 generations) that only took 10 minutes and then Jose gave us an awesome 90 minute walking tour of the facility. We saw the history of Delirium, a museum, the tanks, the bottling process and then the boxing area. We saw the whole process from beginning to end and Jose was so knowledgeable he really made it interesting – I had no idea the history of the brewery went back so long. The end is the best part as you sit down at the bar in the museum where Jose will share with you any Delirium beer that have either on draft or in bottle. We were lucky enough to meet the new brewmaster there who talked to us for about 45 minutes, shared some of his insights and discussed his new strong blond ale (it was amazing). The experience was amazing – Jose loves his job and is a great representative of the brewery, he made everything fun and interesting. We were also able to buy some cool Delirium beer mats from the gift shop for our bar at home on the way out! Definitely recommend visiting this brewery!

Awesome Experience!

I made the tour through the brewery and It was an amazing experience. First this must be booked beforehand, they only do the tour for group of at least 15 people . You can try to join another group, if you have less than 15 p. I send an email to Jose, responsible for the tours, Who quickly answered, and I was lucky enough to have a group to join in.

The brewery is very close to Gante, you can go by Trem or Bus from there (10 minutes) or by bike. Jose was our tour guide and He's very friendly and knows a lot about the productions process. He welcomed us with a beer (best way to start a tour) and with a short movie about the history of the brewery, afterwards We walked through the automated factory with Jose explaining every detailed of the process to brew beer their. At the end We had the opportunity to taste some of their beers (like the amazing 25 years anniversary Delirium Argentum), We also had the Lucky to find one of the brew masters at the bar and we chat a little bit about the beer. What a awesome tour, hands down the best brewery tour I had.

Best brewery experience ever!
Jul 2017 • Friends
The whole experience was a delirium! We enjoyed the brief video presentation. This was followed by a very thorough tour with Mr. José de Bock! He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We saw the entire operation from the old copper tanks, to the Belgian made robots that help keg the beer , to the social engagement operation where individuals with disabilities help package beer. Truly an amazing, family run business.

I hope honestly don't understand why there aren't more visitors and more reviews. This is hands down the best brewery experience I've had and my wife and friends all agree. Where else can you say you shared a beer with the CEO and 4th generation owner of the Huyghe brewery!

A must visit if you're in Brussels !
