The majority of the reviews for Beeston Castle all mention the steep climb, so why should I be any different? Yes, it is quite a steep climb but the views from the top are worth it - Merseyside to the north and the Wrekin to...More

Beeston Castle is well worth a visit, as the view from the ruins at the summit is tremendous. However there isn't really much left of the castle apart from a few ruined walls and towers and the climb up to the summit from the entrance,...More

Well, the walk was well worth the effort. The views are amazing and plenty of benches to take a breather. The only issue I have is the cost of English heritage it was £18 entry fee and £3 to park. Beautiful scenery and well worth...More

Location is everything a castle should have- high up on a craggy pinnacle, with stupendous views all around. Steep climb up to the ruined tower, but well worth the climb. You need a reasonable level of fitness to tackle the access via a woodland path...More

Moderately difficult climb to the top, but the views afforded by this castle's location are awesome. The castle is basically built on a precipice, with sheer rock walls, with substantial drops, on two sides. It's the sort of thing where you ask yourself-how did they...More

Facilities are good but getting around the grounds of the castle in a wheelchair could prove to be difficult. It is very steep.

Definitely not. It's a very steep climb with uneven gravel, grass and steps. If I had a baby I would use a sling or back carrier or wait till child was 4 or 5 yrs.

No they seem to be fenced off. Not sure if they have open days or anything, but no sign of it. You can look at the caves from outside but that's about it sadly.
