This is justifiably a popular spot for picnics and people who want to sit and relax with spectacular views of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. On your way there and back from North Sydney station you will walk down the lovely Blues Point Road with about a dozen outdoor cafes and restaurants. Avoid 30 and 31 December unless... More

We often take a walk down Blues Point Road to the reserve. Great spot to see the harbour, the bridge, the opera house and the CBD. Just can't fault the view. You'll often see weddings and fishermen sharing the space but not so many picnickers. On face value it looks great for that, but somehow when you get there it... More

When finding this place on foot, just look for the apartment building with the radar on top. Clearly a lot of people come here, wide open spaces, and again, incredibly peaceful. Sydney is clearly doing something right for the public and the environment; well done.

Stayed here in 2013 and took the ferry back in 2016. Lovely short trip with really nice park for kids to play in while you enjoy the views. There's a really steep hill if you want to explore further instead of getting the ferry back - worth a walk to get some different views of Sydney.

Drive down blues point road, stop for lunch or a beer on the way and then down the hill to the most spectacular view of Sydney Harbour.

This is one of the bests Neighbourhoods in Sydney. Very quiet and with a great great view. Some people are very unpleasant and rude with foreigners but in overall people are nice. It's a fancy neighbourhood with nice restaurants. Very safe with pretty people. (High prices) You can come by train (north sydney station) or by ferry. Ferry is more... More

We took an overseas visitor here on Australia Day to see the Darling Harbour fireworks. Unfortunatly Barangaroo blocked them out. But we will never forget our amazement when we first arrived at the bottom of the road -- the best Sydney night views imaginable -- just stunning. A must for all of our visitors in the future.

Have been visiting here for years. Parking can be difficult, but people often come for a quick visit to see the view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, and leave, so with a little patience, you will get a spot. Otherwise there is public transport - buses and trains to North Sydney, or a ferry to nearby McMahons Point... More
