An eclectic and beautiful studio full of interesting art and crafts locally sourced. Housed in an old restored Army building, it has a connection with Townsville's history. Very informative and friendly staff.

My sister took me here, on my first day in Townsville, and I found it very difficult to leave. There were many beautiful works on display, many for purchase. A perfect place to find an original gift. I was tempted to spend more than I did, but luggage limitations prevailed. I was particularly taken by the original jewelry pieces and the amazing paintings.

This great little place has something for everyone. Great craft on sale, beautiful art work to view and a coffee shop set amongst the sculptures in the front garden.

Great to see a place dedicated for the assistance of local artists. Who knows what you can find in a shop like this, maybe the next Rembrandt and a staggering fortune to go with that.
Seriously, , its nice to see local artists get the opportunity to find the tourists and earn a place for themselves.
A very diverse place catering for all kinds of art form . Well worth the time to go and scratch around for that hidden gem. Well done the organizers of this project

the Drill Hall has a wonderful selection of artwork by local artists - all reasonably priced, and the volunteers who work there are very friendly.

Each time I feel like treating myself to something special and unique AND support local artists and culture, I come here. It is a historic little hall, in a pretty seaside suburb near lots of cafes and eats (a block or two down from Gregory St meets The Strand). I love its quirkiness and two cute little dogs!

The Drill Hall Studio always displays an amazing and eclectic collection of works by some of Townsville's most skilled artists and crafts' people, and is a great way to spend some time whilst enjoying the strand, which is just a short stroll away. They also offer a range of interesting short courses for those who are inspired enough by the works on show to try their hand. We never get tired of visiting this place, as there is always something different and beautiful on show, and some lovely gift ideas.
