About
As a monumental complex unique for its historical interest and its key role in the conquest of the Nasrid Kingdom. It comprises three elements: the 14th century water mine (the best conserved structure of its type in Andalusia), the neo-Mudejar House (now being restored) and Forestier’s garden.

    Overpriced but unique
We toured this place as part of a bike tour where we spent 2 days in Ronda. I enjoyed the visit, limited to the gardens and the water mine. However, given what you visit, I think the 10 EUR price is exaggerated and too expensive. It should be half that, to be honest. So in my view it is overpriced for what it is, given that you do not get to tour any case or palace.

Over hyped attraction that needs work
This is our second visit so we deserved our disappointment - the potentially beautiful House of Moorish King is still not open and, notwithstanding the several signs indicating it was being renovated, it was clearly derelict and had had no work done on it since our last visit several years ago. The gardens nice but do not justify the e tensive praise given in the signage. Peacocks there are beautiful though. The only unique part is the extraordinary water mine plunge down to the Tajo stream but some seriously dangerous steps the equivalent of a 20 storey descent will put off most. This “attraction” shows all the signs of being a rip-off at Euro 10 per person and the cafe adjacent is also at least 25% more expensive than elsewhere. Whomever owns this place needs some serious encouragement to do better

Watermine, otherwise of limited interest for its entrance fee
Building still closed up. Gardens modest but pleasant with peacocks and views over the gorge. Watermine and its history fairly unique. If able to and interested in such things, the walk down through the mine to the river and back up is well worthwhile. Otherwise we would agree rather overpriced.

Only worth it if you visit the mine
The price of this attraction is only worth it if you or a member(s) of your party takes the 200-plus step trip down and up the mine. This portion of the tour is recommended only for those who can handle the strenuous trip back up the steps, some of which are taller than typical, wet and smooth. The mine trip does have openings in the walls along the way, so it is not as claustrophobic as expected.

There is a little garden with water right through it and a very impressive vertical gallery where the water was brought up to Ronda for centuries. It’s amazing on the way down but very tiring on the way back up! You must be fit or we do not recommend it. We downloaded the audio guide for iPhone and it worked a great during the visit explaining the way the water gallery worked and how it was eventually breached during the Reconquista. Well worth a visit with teenagers , not for young children or elderly people.

Lots of steps that were wet and slippery. We found out later there was an audio tour included that we were not offered.
The young guy was disinterested in us, as we were leaving he showed much more interest in two young girls trying to talk them into going offering them a big discount.
It was dirty slippery wet and no real story.

Forget it..... 10 euros per person is bordering on extortion! The gardens are nothing special. The descent to the bottom of the canyon is challenging even if the view is the only interesting thing. But you can get similar result from other free runs

Monumental complex with a long history. Composed of three parts: a water mine from the Muslim period, a neo-Mudejar style house and a garden designed by Jean Claude Nicolas Forestier, declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1943.
The entrance is expensive since it costs €9 and the audio guide can only be obtained by downloading its App. It does not have a toilet or snack bar as indicated since it is closed to the public. The house is closed, under construction and full of gadgets that spoil the view. Going down to the mine is like going down 20 floors with large steps.
Everything in general is quite neglected, which greatly detracts from this historic site of the city and which could be much more attractive to visit.
Despite everything, a visit is recommended, there will not be many places like this in the world.

I don't recommend it, it's excessively expensive, I mean €10 to see a "garden" of 10 m² or so. The most beautiful thing is the water lilies in a pond. Really, nothing more. It's a deception. There are other museums that give it a thousand thoughts. with the feeling of being scammed literally. I'm sorry but they have to work hard. a granaína. tony vargas

When we visited the Casa was not open and did not appear to be open in the near future. The water mine sounded very interesting but was disappointing. You descend 200 steps which are old stone steps and in places wet with water dripping down. The hand rail is also wet and rusting so your hands get very dirty. This is not a safe place and although there is a health warning sign it is not very easily seen until you have entered and paid your money. The signs for toilets lead you to a bar next door where the charge is 1 euro to use the toilet. Admission to the site is 8 euros per person. On the positive side when you get to the bottom you are standing on a jetty on the river looking up at the gorge. Also there is very limited signage to tell you the history of the water mine. Very impressive to seethe gorge from the bottom but is it worth the ticket cost and the risk of slipping on the stairs !

Currently it is a scam. You can only visit the mine and the garden, the house cannot be visited and they tell you this after you have purchased the ticket. Of course, they continue to charge you the same amount that they put on the website announcing that you are going to visit three spaces. When we try to download the audio guide with the QR code that they give you, it tells you that it cannot be downloaded because it is designed for an older Android than the one you have on your mobile. We tell the person at the ticket office the problem and they tell us that yes, it doesn't work with most cell phones and that they have been trying to fix it for a while, but at the moment that's how things are, what can we read on their website? Reading, looking at the landscape, and going down the stairs...? all this at the same time? The mine route is quite poorly maintained, very slippery and dark and difficult to cross one group going up and another going down. The gardens with dry and uncared for plants. A scam, that is the definition that best reflects our visit.

This is not for a house tour because the house is completely dilapidated and you cannot enter it. They charge 8 euros for a view you can see for free and entrance to the mines. The garden is not impressive at all. Very sorry they let this place go.
