My husband and I took a bus tour of the reserve and really wish we had skipped it. The landscape isn't unique, it is the same desert landscape you see elsewhere in the area just by taking the highway. The tour didn't allow enough time...More

I'm sure they had to have filmed some of the Star Wars movies here. Very unusual and beautiful coastline where the desert meets the sea. We used Emotion Tours in Paracas to book this tour and others in the area and they are fantastic.

it can be done quite easily. Busses leave Lima about 3.30am and arrive Paracas about 8am for the Ballestas tours which lasts a couple of hours. The park tours can last as long as you want then the dunes later on. It will be tight and a very late night if you want to go back to Lima that day. Better to do an overnighter and see Nazca on the second day before returning to Lima.
