Laxmanpur is a nice beach on Neil Island. The place comes alive during late afternoons when people land up here to view the setting of the sun. Stalls selling edibles & beverages come alive, with makeshift candle light dinner tables thrown in as well. The beach is L shaped with the two axes offering different but equally beautiful views.

Long stretches of white sand, turquoise blue crystal waters and lush green forest. The beach No. 1 is postcard perfect with old fallen trees being slowly washed away by the waves. Swimming is best at high tide, but also possible during low tide. Take care of the corals and few rocks underneath the water surface. The beach No. 1 offers the best snorkelling points on the islands with colourful fish and some corals. If lucky there is a high chance to spot a dugong (sea cow) feeding on sea grass.

Laxmanpur Beach - Land Snorkel & Biodiversity, Astounding Natural Bridge and an amazing sunset point
Jun 2022
Laxmanpur Beach is divided into 2 beaches - No.1 and No.2.
Laxmanpur Beach No: 1 - Alluring white sand beach with amazing sunset view point. The white sand is slightly wet thus allowing us to build sand castles easily! You have lot of stalls selling shell related decor and gift items and of course with shops selling hot hot onion pakora and other eatables to satiate the hunger.
Laxmanpur Beach No: 2 - Here is where you will get to see the Astounding Natural Bridge (coral bridge formation). Make sure to have a guide as you are about to land snorkel and observe the biodiversity. Yes, you read that right! Land Snorkel! :)
You will be walking over the rocky formations on the sea shore and while walking believe it or not you will see many biodiversity that you normally see only when you snorkel/scuba dive. Yes, you will see live coral reefs which are of many shapes and colors like brain coral, beehive coral, etc., edible corals (yes! you can eat them),sea cucumber, sea urchins, various kinds of shankhs (conches) with live snails within it, cowry shells with live snails, some dead corals, giant clams (that closes when you touch), mollusks, fishes of various types, shapes and colors, Finding Nemo (yes! you get to see Nemo fishes (clown fish) living in sea anemone! Ah! scenes from Finding Nemo movie comes alive in front of your eyes for a moment), and some colorful things that pulls itself back upon touching.
To enjoy all these things and to get to know about the biodiversity, do take a guide otherwise you will not be able to enjoy any of these things apart from just taking pictures with natural bridge backdrop.
Do wear comfortable shoes, as you need to walk over the rocky formations which might make you slightly tiresome but trust me once you start to see these biodiversity, you will forget the tiredness.
Most importantly please do not touch any corals as they might die because of it. Follow the instructions from your guide strictly.

Nothing much to do here, one of the few beaches in Andaman where one can visit if nothing esle to do.
This beach during low tide allows one to go deep inside the sea with very low level of waters but water visibility is not great.
Also many people visit it for sunset but if one has seen it at Radhanagar then its nothing comparable
If shortage of time, one can easily skip it

This is a beach filled with eating joints and hawkers. A very crowded and touristy beach. You can see a lot of dead corals at the edge of the sand. Water is quite nice and clear, sand is soft. You get a nice sunset view at this beach. A pretty good beach, worth checking out.

Well organised trip.
From the day of arrival till the day we left for airport, the entire trip was seamlessly organised. I came here with my daughter and WayFind trips ensured a safe, comfortable and affordable experience of Andaman Islands for us. for money.

Laxmanpur beach is the sunset point of the island. Blue turquoise water is amazing sight on this island. The shacks on the beach churn out good noodles, tea. There are bamboo benches to sit near these stalls. There are plenty of stalls selling stones, sea shells ,other handicraft items and are open for huge bargaining.

Laxmunpur -1 beach is the place for sunset with onion pakoda and chai or hot maggi noodles. Small beach but ideal for sunset on Neil island.
Laxmanpur-2 beach is ideal for low tide visit for the coral bridge and the beautiful, small ponds that double up as aquarium to watch oysters to sea animones to what not.

This is one of four Beaches available at Neil Island. One can visit this place to watch Sun Set and spend some time in evening. Beach is not too clean and have average views. This beach is not good for swimming but one can enjoy good landscapes and pics of natural beauty. Some snacks and shops are available at this beach. Overall one can spend one to two hours at this beach.

Probably the best Sunset Beaches of Neil Island & 2nd best after Radhanagar Beach at Havelock. It's unique right angle shape adds to the charm. Lots of dining options, especially after Sunset. Enjoy seafood right on the beach. Be careful while venturing in the rocky section as lots of Octopus hiding in the crevices.

We are only fr relaxing, which is a better option, with clean beach & less populated?
Neil Island or havelock Island?
Fr 3 nights.
Written December 25, 2019
Neil island is better option for relaxation but not too much to see except two beaches. Water is more clear here.
Havelock is better option for activities.

What is the best time to Visit Andaman ??
How many days is sufficient ??
Written January 31, 2019
December to February is the best time to visit. The weather is in its best between this period. March is bit warm, April is Hot and May onwards is Scorching Summer. Even the private ferries stops operating during peak summer.
You need at least 5 days to enjoy best of Andaman (as per me). Apart for Post Blair (main island), there are 3 to 4 smaller islands which really demands time. 5 to 7 days is ideal. In Less than 5 days you will miss a lot of spots and above 7 days will cost you unnecessarily more.
Written January 31, 2019
Is one day sufficient to spend in Neil Island? To cover both Laxmanpur and Bharatpur beach. Please advise on how to spend time here. We are arriving in a jetty from Port blair most likely in the morning
