My family and I decided to see this before a big storm hit because my grandmother absolutely adores lighthouses. The area is nice and clean, with plenty of walk ways to go around the entire area around the lighthouse. There is a look out for the ocean view and to see Domes beach. It is a nice little stop for... We took a 2 hour drive from our hotel in San Juan to visit this lighthouse. The drive there was beautiful and we were able to stop along the way to take many pictures. The lighthouse itself was just okay, nothing special. The walkway seemed relatively new but there was not much to see since there were many shrubs along... More

Summer and winter season brings loads of people to the west coast of Puerto Rico to see the Rincon Light House. It was rebuilt about 15 years ago and is kept in perfect condtion. Great for viewing the Whales swimming by during season Dec. thru March. Great for watching the surfers surfing Maria's Beach, the Point, Indicators or Domes beachs.... More

I loved this spot. There were shelters that are perfect for eating a picnic lunch. You could watch the surfers at Domes and Marias beaches. It was amazing. We were looking for whales but weren't lucky enough to see any.

This lighthouse in Rincon is a great place to visit and enjoy then views. You can see surfers on Domes beach, and you can see Desecheo island off in the distance. It is a great place to catch a sunset. Don't expect much to do here. It is just a great place to relax, unwind, and catch some great views... More

Exactly what you would expect. The lighthouse is just one part of this experience. The lookout is what's breathtaking!

We visited the light house at night and the sound of the ocean was like music to your ears, so we decided to return during the day so we could get a good look at the grounds and the ocean. The view was breathtaking. We stopped along the way to see the many surfers trying to catch a wave.

The lighthouse is in El Faro Park and sometimes referred to as El Faro lighthouse. The park overlooks the ocean on cliffs with great views. Other then the views and watching the surfers not much else to do. Their was a icecream vendor on site and some vendors selling jewelry in parking lot but that is all.

It's a small non-accessible lighthouse on top of some cliffs. There is a walkway that was built along the cliffs with several lookout points. The views are very nice and you can watch the surfers below. The grounds are maintained well and there is a bathroom. Overall I rated it average because there isn't anything to do once your there... ... stay for the grand views! You'll quickly be drawn to the point at Punta Higuera. It was cloudy and the sun had already set, but the views still kept our attention. Desecheo Island was visible in the Mona Passage. Surfers were still searching for waves off Domes Beach. Jagged volcanic rocks stood sentry to breakers making their way into... More
