We took a private tour with 3 people through the Sierpe mangroves to Cano Island with José. He really is the best tour guide we ever had. He and the captain were super friendly and every time we thought we spotted an animal, they did not hesitate to turn the boat around and check it out. The whole day was at our own pace and the food that was provided for us was super delicious. José joined us while we were snorkeling to make sure we saw every fish or turtle he saw. We saw a lot of wildlife in the mangroves and beautiful fish in the ocean. We also saw a whale with here baby thanks to the captain, who pulled us out of the water while snorkeling. It was very far away so he wasn’t sure but when we came closer it turned out he was right! Thanks again for everything, best day of our whole Costa Rica trip!

We had a great tour of wildlife and the mangroves. Our tour guide, Jose, and the captain of the boat were fantastic. Super knowledgeable and flexible to our wishes. The home made food was a huge plus. Highly recommend.

Our family booked 2 tours with Sierpe Outfitters and got lucky with the same guide, Caesar for both tours. We had 2 incredible days; highlights of our trip. Everything was super easy from the booking process, super quick response times on WhatsApp, good instructions on what to bring/where to meet, etc, and flawless tours. We did the full day Sierpe Mangroves tour. Caesar is super impressive with his skills in spotting animals with the naked eye. His knowledge of the area, the trees, the animals made the day very interesting. For the Boruca Village, I was soooooooo glad to have done this with a guide. Everything was set up and arranged to watch the weaving, wood carving, and dye experience. Other people that drove there on their own were just wondering around and were peaking in seeing what we were doing and asking our guide questions about it. The lunch area we ate at in the village was AMAZING. There's no way we would have found that on our own.

We had an amazing your with Cesar at San Pedrillo Station of Corcavado National Park. The trails were muddy and wet from all the rain the night before so would advise rubber boots over the hiking boots we wore but we didn't let that stop us! We had the opportunity to see lots of animals thanks to Cesar! An amazing experience for myself, my husband and our two boys ages 3.5 and 7.5!

Don’t hesitate to book a trip with Sierpe. We reached out a few months before our trip and Raina was immediately responsive with information and options and stayed connected with us all the way through. She is American but lives in Drake Bay. The tour guide was very informed and made every effort to take the time to find animals for us. There was no hurry. And we saw so much! Even speckled dolphins and turtles from the boat both there and back. The food was also unbelievable. Make sure have them prepare your breakfast and lunch; it’s well worth the minimal cost. We chose to do a private tour with them for Corcovado and it was well worth it. Can’t imagine it having gone any better.
