The walk along the sandy path has you under the cover of trees and in relatively thick foliage. There are numerous (numbered) paths off to the beach, so you will not get lost. Bench seating, picnic tables, and drinking fountains offer some comfort and there are public toilets and a cafe at the pier.

Today we walked South from the Pier and eventually crossed the highway to the Kananook Trail by the eponymous creek. The small coastal woodland birds were out, as we walked the quiet track, but they were hard to see. The light wind stirred the branches of the trees and the path was deserted. There were picnic tables and seating along the way and some BBQs closer to the pier. The sand was deep in one place making wheeled transport more difficult.

This beach is less populated than Frankston beach in the summer. If you come here on a hot summers night you are bound to find this beach being occupied by teenagers.

I lived in Brighton as a young boy and have worked in St Kilda for 26 years next to the foreshore and I can tell you if you want to see murky waters that's what you'll get in this part of the bay. Seaford foreshore has one of the cleanest stretches of water and beachs and we locals love it. Recently i had a friend who moved from Mentone to Carrum and she said there is no comparison with the beaches at the northern end of the bay as compared to the Seaford /Frankston foreshore they are so pristine and unspoilt.

This is my favourite beach to visit so far in Melbourne. The sand is lovely, lots of shells to go hunting for and the water is clear, next to no seaweed and the shallows are great for cooling off in. The sunsets here are fantastic, some of the most beautiful I have seen. There is a great fish and chip shop 5 mins away and you can easily spend a whole day here. The stretch of beach is so long you always have your privacy, even in the school holidays.

There is a pleasant path above the beach that goes on and on through native scrub, occasionally giving glimpses of the sea. It is a beautiful place. At the Seaford Pier lifesavers station there is a cafe and public toilets, if you need them, but other eating places are just across the highway.

with my wife and our two year old we spent two hours just lying in the water. With the child learning to swim she shows no fear and we can relax knowing there is no strong currents or large waves. Plenty of parking, toilets close and food options just over the road. If you are lucky you might meet the local seal....

A narrow beach with a gradual change of water depth, makes it great for younger swimmers. The limited nearby paid parking is a problem if you need to carry a lot of beach gear. A beach that I'm sure I'll visit again.

Can never forget that we were just lay in the water, with the raised sand bed as our pillow, and children playing in the little Logan like puddle next to us. How relaxing is this experience? Anyway, that was years ago. Recently, we visited it again last summer, and it has become similar to Menton beach, parking is the main reason that it's only got 4 star rating. If the parking facility can be upgraded, more people would visit.
