We visited this place in June, met only two people during the whole afternoon and really enjoyed it. We came from Tuili - it is very easy to take a road all the way up, which takes you to a parking place. There was a ranger at the entrance with all information and a map. There are no signs inside,... More

We were very fortunate that the wild horses were out in abundance the day we were there. We also found the cork trees fascinating, and there were wild flowers everywhere. It was a beautiful place -- a very flat trail that would be good for bikes or wheelchairs -- and I'm glad we had a chance to see it.

The access road is actually much better than i expected.. it's not a bad drive at all.... The views from the top are fantastic. There's an old guy up there who sells souvenirs and also you can rent a decent mountain bike for just a donation... From there you can either hike or go by bike to explore or to... More

I have been up a few times and I never tire of taking photos...great landscape, wild horses, some goats and few tourists all a big plus. In porcini season...fantastic.

The best time to visit this is at early evening! You can take either an organized tour or with a serious offroad vehicle and own ingenuity. First you have to find the route on the Plateau. Which is not easy beacuse they are unmarked. After the ascent on the unpaved road you reach the Plateau and from there to the... More

We visited the altoplano in April. We chose the access from Tuili, just turn right somewhere in the village and you will hit the small road leading up the mountain. At the end there is a parking space and a ranger station where you can look at some maps as there is apparently no signage in the park. When you... More

It was my 2nd visit of Sardinia and I finally got to go to there. I love horses so I was eager to see the so-called wild horses. Well, they are not really wild... They get food and some even have ropes along their necks... But they are kind of wild I guess... It was interesting to see them just... More

This trip was a memorable one.We were 2 families together with 3 kids,it was a January afternoon. We felt transported into a fairytale as we saw old,old moss covered stones, virtually untouched woods and wild horses with shiny coats ,long bushy manes and tails.there were cork oak trees, some of them over 400 years old; we were told, by our guide... This is a unique horse riding experience as gianni is a true horse man and knows the animals well. The stallion and foals all followed along as we went for a walk through the national park. More fun if you speak italian as there are many plants which local people eat which gianni points out. The horses are calm and... More

We visited at the start of may and the area was stunning. The lakes were covered with flowers, there were loads of other flowers and we saw lots of groups of wild horses. Quite simply it was one of the most beautiful places I have visited. Take your time - go for a walk or ride a horse - and... More
