About
We welcome you all year round in groups or individually for a friendly guided visit to the La Monnerie Distillery in the heart of the bocage and Normandy Switzerland. During which we reveal the secrets of the slow transformation of the apple into Cider, Pommeau and Calvados, duration of the visit 1 hour according to the curiosity of the visitors. We invite you to live an authentic experience to discover the process of making AOC Calvados and enter our cellars which house centuries-old barrels. The visit is always ensured by an executive of the domain in order to transmit you a real know-how. We invite you to our world where know-how and quality have supported the concerns of our family since 1920. A tasting is always offered. Groups welcome by reservation, program at the convenience of the organizers.

You can't find a more traditional Calvados distillery than this !

A local bakery shop owner showed us the way to this gem of a traditional distillery in a small village with a very romantic name "Cerisy Belle Etoile" ( belle Etoile meaning beautiful star ).
The "Lady of the House" received us with a broad smile and enthusiastically informed us about the history of the distillery and exactly what is a good Calvados, followed by a tasting session. They produce traditional cider, "Pommeau de Calvados", which is a very nice refreshing aperitif, and Calvados aged from 5 up to 50 years in oak barrels. Customers come from as far as China and Japan to buy their 50 year old Calvados. Worth going out of your way for if you like a good Calvados.

Great place to visit for a taste of Normandy

Despite the cold and being in the holidays the lovely lady who owns the place opened the distillery for us to try a few Calavados and choose the perfect finish to our New Year's Eve Dinner.

Great place to visit - much recommended.

Try the pommeau if you prefer it sweeter but Calva for the hardcore!
