Supercow!
Aug 2019
Woodstock's famous cow illustrates our heritage by immortalising the Holstein milking cow for which in the Woodstock - Oxford County area was & is for many the lifeblood for our local economy.Snow Princess the cow depicted was like the top producer of butterfat ever. Da-ta-da....Supercow!
BTW, If you want to see it's baby sister, She;s in front of Woodstock Hospital.
To put it succinctly I wouldn't travel from afar to specifically see Bessie. (Snow Princess) But if you pass by & love cows & local lore, pay her a visit.

An interesting monument!
Dec 2019
It is an interesting historical monument for the city. It is on the corner of two major streets with limited parking so it can be difficult to read what it is all about.

The Cow
Aug 2019
Cute, interesting. Always enjoy seeing the "character" of any place I visit. I collect pigs but cows are nice, too!!

This is a cow

So I keep being prompted to see if I can review this attraction. Well it’s a cow. She was a famous cow. She is a cow beside a busy road. In her location it is hard to admire her grandeur. Woodstock is the dairy capital of Canada so she is an appropriate cow. If you want to see a cow and don’t want to look in the country this is a great place to see a cow. I would also suggest the one at the Woodstock hospital’s emergency department. That cow you can get up close to and have your picture taken with her. It’s hard to pose with Springbank. She gets high marks for being a famous local cow but looses marks for inaccessibility.

I always know when I am near home because there she is on the corner in her little parkette. She is a statue and in the winter she has the company of Christmas

It's a cow. I have no idea the significance of it or if it is connected to Woodstock in some way. I've always seen it while passing by and could not imagine anyone going out of their way to visit the location.....it's a cow....a nice cow but A COW lol

This life size concrete statue was made to honour a record-setting milk producing Holstein Friesian cow. The designer was local artist Ross Butler. The statue was erected on August 4, 1937.

Snow Countess was born on November 18, 1919 and died August 9, 1936. During her lifetime, she produced 9,062 pounds of butterfat, impressive at that time. It was erected by the Holstein Friesian Association of Canada on the Springbank Farm of T.R. Dent, owner of Snow Countess, at a cost of $4,000. The statue was recently moved to its new home at the northwest corner of Dundas Avenue and Springbank Avenue.
