Traveled to Wadi Bin Al Khalid from an overnight stopover at The 1000 Nights Camp at Al Mintrib. The trip there was amazing. The scenery through the mountains whilst travelling to The Wadi was stunning. We arrived at the Wadi after quite a long journey. After a short but scenic walk to the pools. We were not disappointed. They are... More

For anyone who enjoys swimming you will love this place. Absolutely beautiful - and a free 'pedicure' by the little fish as you sit on the rocks.

There are a few wadi's in Oman and they offer a similar experience. It's a beautiful oasis in the middle of no where. Tropical palm trees and green water. People here are swimming and relaxing. You can also cliff dive here too. I thought that was cool although I was too scared to do it. There's a lunch buffet if... More

Worth the detour. A beautiful green oasis. Tarmac road to the entrance of the wadi and 4x4 is not needed. A short walk along the falaj to the pools and/or restaurant. A lovely place and good for a swim or picnic (bring your own). Subsequently very well frequented by locals and many tourists. Restaurant available.

We got there at 11am and were kind of turned off by the number of tourist vehicles going through. However, they were just looky loos and we were going for the full experience! Hiked to the cave (easy to get to, need a light once you really get inside), swam in all the pools we could all the way down... More

Very nice landscape, easy to reach. I suggest to enjoy a swim in this wadi and than lay down on the hot rocks to sunbathe.

Pretty but too crowded and touristy. Worth seeing en route to the mountainous villages nearby in Tiwi.

We have been making a road trip through Oman with our kids and stopped here for a couple of hours on our way to Al Jabal Akhdar for a refreshing dive. It was a wonderful experience, the water is clean and clear and the temperature nice. Do take your own towels with you and have your bathing suits on beneath... More
