We took this trip organised by Thompson oh what a day out, early start for this one but you are not bored for one minute, Guide that truly enjoyed his job telling us everything you could ever wish to know, lunch with the Berber family was exciting and new but also well stage managed, enjoyed this day from start to... A days trip from Marrakesh took us to the atlas mountains. We climbed up to the waterfalls seeing the breathtaking scenery. Lovely meal next to the river, our guide Rashid was fantastic. One problem I have though is the taxi drivers stopping at road side vendors to entice you to buy their over priced and poor quality tat.

Highly recommended!! We travelled from fez to merzouga and we experienced 4 seasons in a day, including a snow storm, no kidding. Varied landscape which changes every 50km. An eye opener.

Mind blowing experience. Sleeping in Berber houses, having traditional meals cooked for me, hiking up almost 4km and embracing the open mountain air. Shocked there was little flora or fauna but loved the experience. Very full on - If hiking ensure you have a professional local guide.

We choice go tracking, best done in small group or as a couple, but have a very capable & knowledgeable guide. Omar our guide was born in one of the local villages and knew mountains well. We went up to 2300 feet so didn't need specialist equipment but sturdy foot ware is a must and the willingness to take a... More

We did the tour through Atlas mountains. Incredible beautiful. Organising company was Marrakechdaytrips, com ,We are so glad we chose this company. Our guide Karim was friendly and experienced (I have a torn ACL and he really helped me with a few steep, downhill bits). The meals were fresh and generous. Our driver was knowledgeable and efficient. Some of our lodging... More

Went on this trip with my brothers and we drove through the Atlas mountain to get to the Sahara desert. We used Top Desert Tours....the mountains are beautiful the pictures below can speak more to them than this review. We went in September 2014

A long day to be in the bus but the views and regular photo stops made the mountain pass a must see and at over 2000 metres up the views as you would expect were stunning especially as the snow was still laying on the mountain tops. From here we then visited Ben Haddou to see the old kasbah. Crossing... More

We paid Sixty Euros for a guide that took us to the Atlas Mountains where we also visited a variety of Berber villages. The tour included a camel ride and a hike amongst the foothills of the mountains. The tour culminated in visiting a waterfall that was spectacular. The tour did take us to some rather impoverished Berber villages where... More
