Possibly the best tour company i have every worked with. We booked in year 1 of Covid for our 25th anniversary in April 2022. Everything was confirmed and they did not request any money until the country opened in Feb 2022. It built 100% confidence with me.
We choose the level we wanted (luxury) and every part from the driver and vehicle, through the hotels and the local city based guides was top quality. I never felt anyone tried to take advantage, our driver (Mustapha) was brilliant, excellent English, great personality and safe and law abiding driver.
The hotels were great and definitely the best in every city. Even in the smaller locations the hotel was the best available and the service everywhere was excellent.
This company was recommended by a Moroccan friend as i was worried people would go out of business because of Covid, they are still running and absolute professionals.
I cannot recommend them more highly.

WOW....It's difficult to tell you how much we truly enjoyed our Moroccan adventure. We (2 moms and 2 daughters...relatives) were there for 2 weeks and could have stayed even more. Said, owner of Morocco Luxury Journeys, was very professional and prompt in all our email correspondence back and forth from the U.S. He reassured me that he was working in our best interest to make this trip successful and memorable. I am proud to be one of his first 'VERY HAPPY' luxury clients. He's been in business for many years with his first company, Morocco Discovery. The luxury journeys is a branch off of it. He really knows what he is doing.

We wanted to stay in historic RIADS (old luxury homes that have been converted to adorable and quaint boutique hotels). We knew we would get the best of Moroccan flavor and culture with hand-painted mosaic tiles, hand-carved wood, intricate detailed plaster designs on walls, etc. I had picked out some Riads that I wanted to stay in, but a few of them were already taken, due to April being high season. We were never, however, disappointed in what Said had found and booked for us. Every place was exceptional with beauty everywhere you look, super friendly hosts, wonderful meals at the riads and the rooms had top quality bathrooms, linens, toiletries, fresh flowers and oh such a delight. Often our riads were behind walled cities...dating back to the 12th century. We would have to walk down narrow cobblestone pathways, which was always an adventure, but when we entered the boutique hotels the contrast was totally amazing.

Morocco is much more modern that we imagined. First of all, it is such a clean country...very very little litter. Second...everyone is so friendly and helpful...it's a country where you feel welcome and are not just another tourist. My mom and I have been to 67 countries now and we felt Morocco was still amongst the unspoilt areas. You can even walk amongst Roman ruins and touch and feel the history...unlike much in Italy and Greece being often fenced or roped off.

We had a driver named AZIZ and he was a delight, as well. My mom is 85 and he took such good care of her and all of us. He always helped her in and out of the van and also even went on some of the tours (with local tour guides), just to help her walk the cobblestone streets and if she got too tired, he would take her back to the van or hotel. He became like family to us, caring for our every need. He always had fresh water for us and refreshing hand-wipes and kleenex. What a super driver...you could tell he was very professional and his driving skills did not go unnoticed. We already miss him.

We were so fortunate to go on the 15 day journey, because Morocco varies so much in each region. We were in awe, when we went from seaside to lush rich farmland areas to the Sahara Desert to the high Atlas Mountains and back to seaside again. The terrain was incredible and so varied. My favorite town was Chefchaouen...a town painted blue (my favorite color).

We overnighted in a luxury tent in the Sahara desert and rode camels, got to experience a huge dust storm like we have only seen in movies, listened and watched the native Berber tribe members perform music and dance at the luxury tents. What fun.

In Marrakech, we opted for a cooking class and Said really arranged a great one. It was like a Michelin 5 star cooking class. We've had several cooking classes around the world...but this was incredible. Each one of us had our own stove, sink, garbage can, utensils, spices, and even individual wide screen t.v.'s so we could watch the instructor do something and then we repeat it. The morning was so enjoyable, we learned a ton and also had a super luncheon up on their balcony with all of our prepared dishes, fresh cut flowers, musicians playing soft music, etc.

If you like fossils/rocks, there is one area that is well-known for it, just outside the Sahara desert. There are many roadside stands, but we also went to some very professional companies that actually mine the marble with fossils embedded. They have many gorgeous products in their showrooms to purchase.

If you go, I'd suggest bringing some coloring books and crayons and pencils, etc. because the kids are delightful...especially in the far out (remote) areas. We found a family in the Sahara desert area and gave all of them our goodies and all along the journey, shared American candy with others. Even if we couldn't communicate with them, our driver explained to them that we were Americans. (Every little bit of good will, goes a long way).

I hope I have conveyed what a great experience we had...a much more lovely trip than we had expected. We would definitely recommend Morocco Luxury Journeys, because of their professionalism, trustworthiness and knowledge of what luxury means.

We worked directly with Said for several months in preparation for our trip to Morroco in December 2023. We were interested in a private tour for just two guests, wanted premium accommodations that reflected the local aesthetic and culture, and sites that would be interesting and informative. Said put together a list of hotels that were among the best available in each location. In some cases we were the only guests in a riad, while in others they were large international brands (Four Seasons, Relais et Chateaux, and Fairmont).

Mustafa was our guide for the 18 days we were in Morocco -- he was the first face we saw when we landed in Marrakech and the last contact when we left 18 days later. We chose to spend several extra days in Marrakech during which time Mustafa was available to drive us to restaurants or to other sites that were not part of our tour. He is excellent -- he is truly knowledgeable about Morocco, its culture, and sites. Most importantly, he is very proud of the country's heritage and its diversity. We have had guides in the past who failed to provide a balanced perspective - Mustafa was a joy to be with every day.

Local guides in most of the major sites were pre-arranged to meet us at our hotels, provide background information, and escort us through medinas, leather and ceramic factories, and other areas. Our sense was that Mustafa could have led several of these tours, given his experience and enthusiasm; but, the selected guides were also very good. Mustafa is a very exuberant guide who started every day with an extremely positive outlook. He is an incredible asset to Morocco Luxury Journeys; we enjoyed every day of our tour, in large part because of Mustafa. Highly recommended.

We would love to write a feedback with a great pleasure, because we really enjoyed our trip in Morocco.
Most importantly, we really enjoyed our driver, Rashid. Special thanks to him to be not only the driver, but also a person who we indeed had a great company with. He became a close friend. He is funny, smart, honest and has a big heart. We really enjoyed his driving pace. It was so balanced, not in rush, not stressful at all. He was taking care of us so nicely. He was really friendly and kind. He was responsive and helpful. We wouldn’t forget our drive to the Volubilis. We were about to miss to see it before the very sunset, but luckily Rashid was able to make it before then. It was an amazing experience and time that we have spent there. Also, we really appreciate that he was so consciously listening us and making the whole traveling easy. The trip would not have been the same without him!
The Riad Faraj was really beautiful, the architecture and art work were incredible. Our breakfast there was three times great: It was a great food, great service and great view.
The Merzouga camp was the highlight of our trip! People who worked there were absolutely outstanding. The food, the environment and care were fantastic.
Special thanks to Laurent. His Riad Antara was the winner, and again it was the highlight of the trip. We loved it. He is truly taking care of his guests, and treating them to feel to be at home. The food at the Riad was amazing. The environment, the smell, the ambiance and the cleanleneass were the best.
Another very important acquaintance happened in Marrakech. We have met our guide Mohammed who was extremely knowledgeable, meaningful and gave us many suggestions about great food places that we were actually missing especially during lunch time so the food on the road was just ok.
Thank you for everything well organized and planned. We had a very memorable trip.
We would highly recommend Morocco Luxury Journeys.
