Amazing maze
Aug 2019
Not widely known about but should be it was brilliant took two five year olds cheap to go in spent over three hours there really safe for children and it was so nice that once you had paid to go in there was nothing else to spend money on The proprietor was so friendly and really made you feel welcome Would definitely go again

Nice maze, might not be open
Aug 2019 • Family
We turned up at 10:30 when it opens, according to the website. Gates closed. We waited 10 minutes. Gates remained closed. We called; no-one picked up. We were grateful that we were staying in the local village so we went off to do something else and came back a couple of hours later to find it open. It seems to be very hit and miss.
The next problem was the payment: they do take cards, (but complained that it cost them more). Really in this day and age there is no excuse unless you're really in the middle of nowhere. There was some faffing about with PayPal on a phone (really, card machines cost less than £20!!!) And there's no family ticket: everyone pays the same. So for a family of 6 it was £30, which felt an awful lot for what you get.
The maze itself was pretty good: you have to admire the work involved and there are some really lovely corners. Some parts felt pretty unloved though. I guess maintaining a place this big is an ongoing massive headache.
Count on staying a couple of hours if the weather is favourable.

Ahhh-maze-ing

It has always been on my bucket list to go to a garden maze. This was a fantastic place to go for my first and perhaps a tough one to top. From the coastal town of Llandudno, we took the bus X19 from the North West Garden Bus Stop. The journey took us about 45 minutes but the bus route was really scenic and we even passed through Conwy Castle/town.
It was fun finding our way to find all the lovely sections in the maze and most importantly finding the way out!
The maze garden is owned by the lovely John and his wife, the visit at this garden maze and a short visit to the town of Llanrwst made our visit to North of Wales really worthwhile.

Magical garden!
Oct 2018 • Family
We found this maze unexpectedly on our way home and stopped to check it out. It's a beautiful garden maze which we ended up spending a couple of hours in. My daughter had the best time running around and finding the different parts of the maze with it's hidden gardens and loved it too. We are planning to go back late spring to see it in full bloom. The owner was lovely and very helpful. Would recommend.

Hidden Gem, Great Fun!
Sep 2018 • Friends
The Conwy Valley Garden Maze is a real hidden gem, very well-maintained and beautiful (we did visit on a hot sunny day), large, genuinely intriguing with lots of little surprises around each 'corner', great innocent fun for all ages, take your time and enjoy!. We got a very friendly welcome from the lady owner, and when you have been around the maze, there is a very simple but nice little coffee shop with a few outside tables. We will certainly visit again one day! Plenty of free car-parking.

A magical hidden gem!
Aug 2018 • Family
Came across this place by accident and I'm so thrilled we did! A bargain £5 each and we were there 2 hours. Went with hubbie and 9 year old recently. My son loved the maze, it was great that there were no such things as dead ends, because there were different statues to see around every corner.
Really well maintained grounds - a magical mystery tour! We spent 50 minutes in the maze but could had stayed longer. We then enjoyed a coffee with the 2 really friendly owners.
My son had another lap round the maze, I played with the rescue dog and my hubbie talked motorbikes with the owner!
A great 1/2 day out at a super price. We will be adding this onto our things to do in Wales every year list!!

Truly A-mazed
Jul 2018 • Couples
Visited on a lovely sunny afternoon and found the location of the maze easily - you can't miss it! We were greeted by one of the owners who advised us, showed us a aerial-view picture of the maze and sent us on our way. The little embellishments and ornamentation around the maze added so much character and the detail and creativity behind the gardens featured within were unlike anything we'd seen!

To top it off, the owners were incredibly welcoming, friendly and even took the time to tell us about the development of the maze and the story behind it along with images, as well as providing us with recommendations for other activities to fill our day with.

Overall, Conwy Valley Garden Maze is truly worth an hour out of your holiday to go and explore. It's uniqueness along with the stunning surroundings are something you wouldn't want to miss.

"ALWAYS RING FIRST"
Jun 2018 • Couples
We tried to visit this place yesterday, which is 132 miles from home by the way! Sadly, it was closed when we arrived. We rang them before we set off to check it was open, we were told it would be 11am. Arrived at 11.40am to find it closed, rang them again but the phone just kept on ringing. At this point assumed it would not be open for the rest of the day so left, annoyed. We did receive a voicemail to apologise but we heard too late, we were already miles away. So I've looked on Googleearth to get an idea of what we missed! A simple sign to say - open at 12 would have sufficed - Could have been a good day out. Sorry, can't give more than that.

Lovely!
Jun 2018 • Family
Our children (6 and 9) loved leading us round the maze. As instructed on the way in, we were looking for the hidden statues and areas rather than looking for the way out. The pathways and hedges and beautifully kept and the owners are lovely - the girls were thrilled to see the ‘secret’ waterfall. Definitely not a full day activity but we had a few hours spare after visiting Surf Snowdonia so was perfect for us.
