A fun hour or so spent in a hedge maze peppered with statues, cherubs, gardens and other surprises (eg a rocking horse!). It is run by a lovely couple who are very friendly. We enjoyed the first hour finding things but then we started to get really lost and the kids got scared - luckily we found the escape route! I found it great fun and something really different.

BUT, it was a bit expensive - ten pounds for an adult. £20 for a family of 4. Though I guess we could have spent a bit longer in there - maybe 1 and a half hours if we hadn't given up! Nothing else to do on site - a small portaloo (a very nice one though!) and a few tables outside to have a cuppa on (very relaxing in the sun!) or a piece of cake.

It would have been better had we been given a list of things to find in the maze so we could tick them off or at least have an idea of whether we had missed anything. I think this would really enhance the experience.

But overall, a fun hour or so that is well worth a trip out to if you are in Conwy, llandudno or Betsy.

WHAT A GREAT START TO OUR DAY!!!! Myself and two girlfriends fancied a little break from the norm! We certainly got it! Travelling up was a great drive with amazing scenery!
Greeted by the charming creator of this wonderful maze, he had us wrapped up in the magic of what we were about to expect. The Maze itself had twists and turns and great treasures to find .It’s not easy, it is a challenge.. but it’s really fun for all! It felt a bit like being in Alice in Wonderland ! Its a great feeling of accomplishment at the end!

Clearly a lot of time and effort has been put into making and maintaining this mystical magical maze! (if you do go ask about the Pottery house ... its down the road and worth the visit for the fab pottery that you can buy , the house itself is UNREAL and hand crafted! and its lovely to meet the lovely people that own it !) xx

I took my 10 year old step daughter and five year old twin sons. We had a Groupon voucher saving £8.50 on the entry price however at £5 per head it is not excessive. Unfortunately the WiFi in the area isn't very good and I couldn't open the e-mail containing it. Giovanni (the owner I presume) seems used to this and allowed us entry just requesting that I send him a text later with the code (I did so the following day).
My only criticism (and this isn't the fault of the owner) is that it is poorly signposted. I eventually found it after stopping and asking at a local post office. Thank you Royal Mail.
The gardens themselves are beautiful and very well maintained. Be aware that dogs are not allowed inside the Maze Gardens. Fortunately I checked the website first before setting off.
The owner is exceptionally friendly. The journey although long was worth it.

We visited this place last week and were greeted by the owner; she was very friendly and invited us to walk around the place. Unfortunately, the place is a damp; we saw nothing but rubbish, old washing machines and more rubbish. There were some sculptures spread around but it did not look like it is depicted on their website where they describe being "Specialists in Antique and Contemporary garden statuary, tubs, and architectural antiques". However, we saw absolutely nothing of the kind. They also boast the world's largest maze; we did not go into it but the entire environment looked a mess. They charge £10 admission to the maze. We left and went to Bodnant Garden and paid £7:50 to see a very well looked after and wonderful garden. Finally, the toilet was the highlight of my visit; I thoroughly enjoyed using it; very clean and well decorated. In conclusion: do not waste your time. I advise the owners to clean up their act; their idea is a good one but the reality is that it is just a dream not a developed concept.

Never entered our maze, but see fit to write a scathing review ? How on earth can you judge it’s worth ? Thanks for calling

We tried to visit this place yesterday, which is 132 miles from home by the way! Sadly, it was closed when we arrived. We rang them before we set off to check it was open, we were told it would be 11am. Arrived at 11.40am to find it closed, rang them again but the phone just kept on ringing. At this point assumed it would not be open for the rest of the day so left, annoyed. We did receive a voicemail to apologise but we heard too late, we were already miles away. So I've looked on Googleearth to get an idea of what we missed! A simple sign to say - open at 12 would have sufficed - Could have been a good day out. Sorry, can't give more than that.

We were very much looking forward to visiting after finding this on a voucher site but although it was obviously very impressive in the past, we found it to appear very unloved and unkempt.

The man who greeted us showed little interest and only provided brief details before we entered the maze which was shabby at best.

Such a shame as the photo shown in the advert shows it has been glorious in the past in a beautiful setting.

We felt we'd come along way for nothing and couldn't wait to get out.

Statues were covered in moss or left toppled over, the bushes and flowers needed a good trim. It just looked like an abandoned garden, such a shame.

Well, they claim it's the world's largest. Having been to a few in Scotland, I would suggest it isn't.

Imagine someone's dream, creating a maze in their back garden and then charging people to explore. This is what this place seems to have started out as.

Then, I am guessing that the person sold the property and the new owner is milking it without putting in any of the much needed maintenance. At least, that's what it looks and feels like.

Over two acres of mature yew , maintained by one man. Occasionally needing a bit more work, praised by most, but can’t please all ! Interested to know where these larger mazes are in Scotland ?

My family and I were excited about visiting the maze during half term. As recommended on the website , I called in the morning to check the opening time. Having driven for 40 mins to get there, I wasn't amused to find that they had decided not to open their gates after all, on that day. To add to our frustration, nobody picked up the landline nor mobile phone. Very disappointing and with such shocking customer service, this place doesn't deserve success. Stick to the fabulous Bodnant Gardens.

I first came here two years ago, when we passed it on the road and thought it was worth a try. It is a beautiful and fascinating place. Very quirky, highly individual and full of plants and statues. Unlike many other mazes, the Conwy maze itself is well designed - you will quickly get lost - but it leads you through innumerable little locations and set pieces. Behind the garden is a footpath up to a sequence of waterfalls and rockpools - definitely check these out. The owner/designer of the maze is chatty and informative.

Came across this place by accident and I'm so thrilled we did! A bargain £5 each and we were there 2 hours. Went with hubbie and 9 year old recently. My son loved the maze, it was great that there were no such things as dead ends, because there were different statues to see around every corner.
Really well maintained grounds - a magical mystery tour! We spent 50 minutes in the maze but could had stayed longer. We then enjoyed a coffee with the 2 really friendly owners.
My son had another lap round the maze, I played with the rescue dog and my hubbie talked motorbikes with the owner!
A great 1/2 day out at a super price. We will be adding this onto our things to do in Wales every year list!!
