Beautiful park
Feb 2021
This is an exceptional park. has paved paths on which to walk but also hiking with some good hills up and down ravines throughout the park (5 mile loop possible with smaller loops possible as well). Only issue is that it is frequently very muddy even without any recent rain. seems that the drainage of some of the lower trails is not very good. Also, since COVID, the bathrooms have been closed off which is a bit frustrating.

Nice variety of trails for strollers... and hikers!
Nov 2019
It's a good idea to grab a map or check their website before hiking as there are some very nice, long trails at North Chagrin Reservation! Some are paved, some are bridle trails, and others are unimproved paths through the woods. Depending upon your preferences, you can hike through quiet woods, take a stroll by the "castle," take your stroller on a paved pathway, or check out overlooks farther in the woods. You can also connect with the Buckeye Trail here as well. If you park by the Nature Center, do meander on the boardwalk nearby as well as checking out the rehabilitated owls in their outdoor enclosures.

What a beautiful park.
Oct 2019
This is an exceptional metro park, easily accessible with a beautiful paved all purpose trail, bridle trails and off pavement hiking trails for all ability levels. The historic squires castle is a must see and a wonderful setting for a picnic. An extremely well maintained and clean park, enjoy.

Lovely wooded stroll
Aug 2019
I parked near Squire’s castle and took a stroll along the loop trail nearby. It was a nice walk on a good trail on a unusually cool August morning. Just a nice 3 mile jaunt through the woods.

A treat for out-of-towners
Jun 2019 • Family
Recently took a family from another country for a visit to a few spots in the Reservation. They were impressed with the beauty, peaceful surroundings and the
ease of viewing areas and exhibits both outdoors and inside the Nature Center.
Highlights included spending an extended period of time at the Duck Pond watching
the "resident" Great Blue Heron, comfortably sitting in the Center observing the birds at the feeder and watching a volunteer doing a presentation with her "live" Barn Owl
companion.
We all agreed that the facility is a great place for stress reduction when the occasion calls for it.

Beautiful Place
Jun 2019 • Solo
I had some time to burn while waiting for a patient to be released from Hillcrest Hospital. Using the Travel Advisor app, I was able to see how close I was to this beautiful place. I had been here many years ago but had forgotten just how large and precious this piece of property is. Squires castle looks great, a wedding was taking place while I was there. If you get the chance, get out and explore it. The remainder of the park is also very family friendly. -enjoy

Very peaceful place to go
Oct 2018 • Family
We love going to the Duck Pond at North Chagrin Reservation. It is so peaceful to walk around the pond and swamp areas. The trails are paved and go thru the woods.

Huge Reservation
Jun 2018 • Family
This reservation is giant and has lots of amenities. Both the nature center and Squire's Castle are particularly great for kids, but don't make the mistake of trying to hike between them with young kids.

My favorite park to hike
Oct 2018 • Couples
This park is very large and has many trails for both the beginner and advanced hiker. There are paved paths for strollers and wheelchairs.
I frequently take my grandkids to the nature center located at the parks. Nice play area for kids, as well as live and stuffed fish, animals and reptiles.
