There is a little hiking trail that you can take right outside the center and a little gift shop inside. The people inside were very friendly and helpful giving advice on different hikes in the area.

There are several trails in Pinetop to explore. Mornings as the mist rises is especially beautiful with nature coming alive. Due to some knee constraints, we took flat trails around the center, the lakes, the pines to appreciate what nature offered. You can take some...More

Although small, the nature center is a wealth of information about the flora and fauna of the Pinetop area. There are also nearby trails that are easy to negotiate.

I enjoyed hiking here--this facility is on Penrod Rd. which is very accessible, really right near the main road though town. The center itself was closed the day I was there, but I liked the outdoor activities which are part of the complex.

Really nice stop for visitors as well as locals. Kid friendly. They have special events dealing with the flora, fauna, and culture of the area, and educational exhibits as well as souvineers for sale.

This area was near the inn we were staying at. It was very scenic and I took lots of pictures of the local wildlife. Sunset was amazing!

425 South Woodland Road. There is a stop light at White Mountain Boulevard (SR 260) and Woodland Road (right by the theater). Turn south, the WMNC is a mile south on the left.
