My grandson (8), son (44) and I (69) enjoyed a one hour trail ride here with Rachel and Anthony assisting us last week. I just wanted to give them kudos for attending to our very different needs along the way from selecting the right horses for us to setting an easy pace through the pine forest. It was a GREAT first experience for my grandson who could have easily been intimidated. Thanks. Recommend it.

As a blended family of 6 we often have a hard time finding anything everyone agrees on. Not this time! Even though most of the family had no riding experience, each one of us had a blast as we sat on our beautiful and gentle horses. They told us each what to expect from our horse and it helped us work with them all along the ride. The trail was peaceful with pleasant conversation with Rachael for those in the front and Greg for those of us in the back. While I couldn't really hear Rachael unless she needed to say something to all of us, we could tell that she was watching everything with a well-trained eye. Greg, on the other hand, I could hear and his background and people skills are super! Along with my older son's inexperience, his horse had never been on the 2 hour trail before so Greg helped them along wonderfully. Special kudos also to Mike (he happened to ride along) who gave pointers and humor along the way as well. Together, they eased my son's apprehension and built his self-esteem to make the ride something he will never forget.

This is by far one of the best riding experiences we have ever had riding. The two hour ride was well planned, horses are happy and healthy, and the view was beautiful! We called ahead to make a reservation for two. It's down season and we had the mountain side allot ourselves. Our guide was very knowledgeable, funny and kept a good eye on our safety. I highly recommend this company.

Horses were great. Trail guide named Karen sucked. Before the ride even started she was whipping and yelling at her horse for misbehaving. That scared my kids. My kids are not experienced riders and all she did was yell at them the entire ride which made them even more nervous which caused them to make more mistakes. We went last year and had a great time with the other guide. We will not be going back.

The horses were great, but our guide was a little impatient. I noticed she was a bit snappy when the horses were assigned. There was only one guide for 6 riders and she rode in the front. My son and I rode in the back and could barely hear her. We came to a busy street and the 5 ahead of us made it through before a car came. We waited for the car to stop before proceeding and she let us know that’s not the right thing to do. She even was stern with my 12 YO son a second time. She said that it’s dangerous to stop. Ok, I take her word for it. It would have been great to have been told in advance. It was the first time we had ridden. Better yet, it would have made for a better experience with a guide also in the rear. No offer to take pictures of anyone on their horses. Nice animals but we didn’t leave with a feel good feeling. I’m an avid reviewer. We have mostly had very positive experiences....cannot really recommend this activity.

We have been boarding our two horses for the summer at PLAC&S for three years. They get excellent care. Actually all horses get excellent care, the trail horses are trained well cared for never overworked very loved! They clean, feed, water and do any special care you ask for. I have ask them to walk one of mine everyday when we had to return to valley. They will special feed if you provide the extra supplements your horse requires. Rachel is very knowledgable. She will help you with anything! We love her. She has let me go on trail rides with her when we have guest visiting and want to trail ride. Beautiful area for trail riding. I recently helped helped her with the kids horse camp. What a great program Rachel has put together. A great fun learning experience. The kids love it. Rachel is an excellent teacher. We hate to return home in the fall. So do our horses!

We have used this stables several times and not only are the rides, horses, and people great but they are most honest. We had a ride scheduled and prepaid. At the last minute we had to cancel. They did not hesitate for a second and gave us a full refund.

This is by far the best stable and trail ride in the White Mountains of Arizona. We had our own horses for many years and kept them during the summer months in the same development that they are located. Once we decided to no longer have our own horses we have used Pinetop Lakes Stables whenever we wanted to take a trial ride. The people are good friendly horse people, the horses are top quality, and the rides are through some of the most beautiful peaceful mountains in the area.

My wife and I took my two young children and we all had a wonderful time. The horses we rode were smooth and steady. The trail into the forest was very pretty. The people there showed us how to ride them and were VERY friendly. The horses were beautiful. I highly recommend it.
