Robert Stein Vineyard and Winery is one of Mudgee's premier wine labels, established in 1976 and now in its third generation of expertise. Robert Stein produces a wide range of award winning, single vineyard wines, made solely from our 60 acre vineyard. Third Generation, Jacob Stein is at the helm as Winemaker with the quality of the wines being well recognized, winning the 'Winemaker of the Year' at the Mudgee Wine Show from 2017-2021. Robert Stein Winery is also rated Red 5 Star by James Halliday, Australia's most acclaimed wine critic. Excellent wine tasting experience in supper location with friendly, knowledgable, attentive staff. Recommend you book (especially at weekends), but will see “walk ins” during the week. Small bits of food to aid the wine tasting experience (a nice touch).

Sharon was lovely. Very welcoming and great banter. Felt down to earth and not pretentious like so many wine farms. Bloody great wine too.

Very poor service. Two other couples there so they weren't overtaxed but both staff ignored us. Left disappointed without our intended purchase.

This winery is a must. Sharon and Gemma couldn't do enough for our group of approx 30 people. We were there as part of our family reunion weekend so had rebooked and had wine tarting and the delicious platters of local produce.
They made us feel very welcome and part of their family as well.
Don't forget to check out the Motor Bike Museum while you are there.

Our group of four thoroughly appreciated Anita’s service for our wine tasting. Her friendly nature coupled with knowledge of food and wine were most appreciated. We can recommend the food platter as well; it was divine!

We had a pleasant 4 days and 3 nights at Mudgee and we are planning on going back early next year. Highlight was eating drinking wine and enjoying the company of our friends
