Robert Stein Vineyard and Winery is one of Mudgee's premier wine labels, established in 1976 and now in its third generation of expertise. Robert Stein produces a wide range of award winning, single vineyard wines, made solely from our 60 acre vineyard. Third Generation, Jacob Stein is at the helm as Winemaker with the quality of the wines being well recognized, winning the 'Most Successful Exhibitor' at the Mudgee Wine Show in 2014. Robert Stein Winery is also rated Red 5 Star by James Halliday, Australias most acclaimed wine critic. Motorcycle fans will marvel at the exhibition of bike memorabilia on permanent display at the winery. The most recent addition, being the opening of Pipeclay Pumphouse restaurant overlooking the vineyard with one of the best views in Mudgee. We invite you to 'share our rewards...'

Lovely winery with great staff, interesting artwork and motorcycle museum too!

The staff were really friendly and informative. We bought a couple of bottles of Shiraz and some pipeclay salami. Loved wines with the motorcycle-themed labels. Only disappointment was the salami. Had a browse through the amazing motorcycle collection and the corrugated metal artwork. This was the only winery we visited that was busy, but we got in just before the... More

Actually came out to see the motorbike display. Wonderful display of motorbikes. Beautiful vineyard and cute walk around the dam with metal statues. Enjoyable couple of hours. Beautiful cellar door too.

We visited Robert Stein winery on a rainy day and found it a lovely experience. We found the female serving us the tastings was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed all the wines, but the Reislings were the stand outs for us. Very pretty outdoors with a small, cosy cellar door.

What a lovely spot. This restaurant is on a pond with a lovely view over the water and surrounding hills. Also a lovely tasting room. Lovely and well-priced food. Really worth a visit - we'll be back!

Honestly cannot believe that this place rated on Tripadvisor after the experience we had. Seven adults got the rudest reception after turning up on a miserable friday. The salesman did not even greet us with a hello as we walked in. He was too busy putting ten containers of honey away on the shelf to be bothered with us. Considering... More

On a cold and rainy day Robert Steins winery was a warm quaint cellar door with some wonderful wines. Choice of 3 different Rose (chose the saignee) and variety of aged reds. Will definitely return

Visited here with friends, nice winery with very informative staff. Really loved the reserve riesling, but honestly felt it was a little overpriced for what it was. Highly recommend the restaurant for dinner!

we arrived at 10.10am on Monday morning and went straight into the museum, a nice selection of old bikes, hubby was very happy. we then went into the cellar door to be greeted by a very friendly and bubbly Karen. She was able to talk to us with ease despite our extremely limited knowledge of wine. She went through many... More

This winery has the most amazing views of the scenery of Mudgee. Wines are top notch. And a top notch restaurant (Pipeclay Pumphouse) attached. We had their semillion riesling with lunch. It was that good that we went away with 5 bottles from their cellar afterwards. This place is a must stop if staying in Mudgee.

Friendly welcoming staff with beautiful wines. Would be my pick of the region so far. The motorcycle museum is a great added bonus
