Robert Stein Vineyard and Winery is one of Mudgee's premier wine labels, established in 1976 and now in its third generation of expertise. Robert Stein produces a wide range of award winning, single vineyard wines, made solely from our 60 acre vineyard. Third Generation, Jacob Stein is at the helm as Winemaker with the quality of the wines being well recognized, winning the 'Most Successful Exhibitor' at the Mudgee Wine Show in 2014. Robert Stein Winery is also rated Red 5 Star by James Halliday, Australias most acclaimed wine critic. Motorcycle fans will marvel at the exhibition of bike memorabilia on permanent display at the winery. The most recent addition, being the opening of Pipeclay Pumphouse restaurant overlooking the vineyard with one of the best views in Mudgee. We invite you to 'share our rewards...'

Excellent restaurant 8 kms north of Mudgee. The wines are great and not overpriced despite the excellent quality. You can have the degustation 8 course menu or - as we did - 3 courses for $65. The entree onion tart with fetta cheese was delicious, the venison with carrots and beetroot superb, and the dessert was first rate. The service... More

Friendly welcoming staff with beautiful wines. Would be my pick of the region so far. The motorcycle museum is a great added bonus

This winery not only had some great wines (loved the Rose) but also has a motorcycle museum on site. After sampling some beautiful wines including a smooth tawny we visited the free museum. Although a small collection, it was nice to see so many early model motorcycles, photographs and other memorabilia. The view over the valley was also picturesque.

Its so hard reviewing wineries due to the personal nature of wine tasting. Service was top notch. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Its located on a beautiful property. In relation to the wines, I didn't really enjoy them but I'm no wine expert.. Worth a visit just to learn more about the wines in the region.

We dropped by the vineyard in the morning and was greeted by this lovely lady at the cellar door on 29/5/16. We ended purchasing 3 bottles of semillon riesling home. Tried it at the Brewery for dinner and felt in love!

Have visited Mudgee in the past, but first time visiting different winery's with friends. Robert Stein really stood out among the rest. A beautiful spot, friendly staff and we all walked away with a bottle (or 2) in our hands. Other on site attractions include an impressive vintage Motorcycle display. Highlight of our visit (other than the beautiful wine) was... More

Lets just say wine was never my first choice of drink, actually it wasn't even my 2nd , 3rd or 4th choice, I was just never into wine, but that soon changed when my husband and I moved to Mudgee a few years ago. We wanted a sea change (or more like a country change) so we moved to this... More

We were really looking forward to going to this Vineyard. We are regular Mudgee visitors and were recommended to visit here by a friend of the owner. Unfortunately our trip was not a good one. The two resident dogs chased our 4WD up the driveway which didn't bother us (but would anyone scared of dogs). Our dog was on the... More
