We visited The Drip Gorge in August 2016 after there had been a lot of rain in the weeks beforehand. It's about 45min drive from Mudgee and then an approx 25min walk each way to and from the gorge (approx 50mins round trip). As there had been so much rain there was lots of greenery and the river that runs... More

The Drip is an amazing structure located at the end of a beautiful walk through the bushland. The scene is really nice, with moss covered rocks flanking the river amongst gum trees.

An easy but delightfull walk beside a river with many varied rock faces along the way. A great dripping overhang at the end of the walk. Took us about 50 minutes. Ignore the map. It is 50K from Mudgee.

Walk along the river and rocky surroundings to reach this gorge. Highway sign pointing to this place is a bit hard to spot, so need to keep a lookout. Set your google map to "The Drip Gorge parking lot" to get a more accurate destination point.

If you are staying in the Mudgee area, besides going out to eat and doing the wine tours, check this place out!!!!! Even if you are not much of an outdoors person, it is still breathtaking. It is a pretty easy hike, it is 2.8km return trip, most of the trail is pretty flat, but there are a few uphill... More

The Drip gorge was recommended to us from where we were staying at The Mudgee Homestead.....and how grateful we were that we did it. It's an easy walk of about 3 klm and such beautiful scenery and well worth the walk.

This is one of the best walks we have ever done. The scenery is just spectacular and it's access BoE to just about anyone with a reasonable degree of mobility.

I spent four days in Mudgee with a friend and booked two tours with Mudgee Explorer Tours. We did the Drip Gorge, Hands on Rock and Wetlands on Sunday and a wine tour on the Monday. The tour guide, Bronny stopped at "Frog Rock" first up. It is on private property and is a frog formed from cracked rock common... More

We visited the Drip Gorge (about 30 minutes from Mudgee) on our way home. We thought the 1.5 km walk to the actual drip which follows the stream was very pretty and would make a good spot for a picnic. I would suggest a pair of reasonable walking shoes as the track can be uneven and there was one spot... More
