Bell tower
Feb 2020 • Couples
The church is located next to Plaza del Trabuco. It has a nice dome and bell tower. The inside is rather plain.

Fairly ordinary

The church is better from the outside than inside where it is fairly plain and with a few statues. There is a bell tower to climb up but we didn't bother as there are many natural vantage points of Cuenca from where there are marvelous views over the city.

The bell tower
Sep 2018 • Couples
It’s only worth going to this church if you walk up the bell tower, there are several dozen spiraling iron steps and when you reach the top you have beautiful views and very special photo ops with the bells

Not much to see inside
Sep 2016 • Couples
Small church, one interesting chapel, a few paintings, but not a lot to see. Not worth stepping in. Skip it.

If you just have a limited amount of time in this town you can skip this church interiors kind of modern even though the exterior looks old. I walk up the belltower is worth it but I wouldn't spend my time here if you're limited on the amount of time you have. Not very interesting.

Once you are in the octagon, start to enjoy the beauty of history in it. Please creep up those steps and enjoy the magnificent bells and views from the tower. You won't regret it!

Wonderful view from bell tower !!
Mar 2015 • Family
It's a church of 18th century with quite simple interior. At the same time it's very light & you feel very quiet & positive inside. It also has very interesting wooden sculptures - colorful & realistic.
Yes, there are more interesting churches, of cause... But there you have a chance to go up to the bell tower & see wonderful views of Cuenca !!!!
I should say that I'm a bit scared of circular stairs (not that stairs but all circular stairs)... But I had no even slight regret that I went up there !! Views of Cuenca deserve it !!!!
My son of 9 years old loved bell tower & views a lot as well...
So, there are only positive impressions of the visit !!

Simple exterior with beautiful sculptures inside
May 2014 • Couples
For a small entrance fee, you enter the church to find minimal ornamentation, with incredible, realistic wooden sculptures in color, not gold leaf or marble - of Biblical scenes, not against the wall in relief, but set upon pedestals, giving a true feeling of realism.

The bell tower is a climb up a narrow staircase, but with good views of the town from the top. It's also interesting to see the automated, motorized bell-ringing mechanisms up close.

Hard to Compare with Cathedral, But...
It's worth the €1 just to go up the steps to the top of the bell tower! Beautiful view and photo ops! The church itself needs renovating, but it's these very same churches that need the visitors and donations to make them vibrant once again. Go, enjoy the view and move on to the cathedral. You won't regret it.

OK but good views from the top

Had a quick look round there today - quite interesting and you can walk right to the top of the bell tower, but as it was just before midday we didn't stay there long as the bells would have deafened us! Costs one euro to get in.
