My favorite bay- it's a perfect swimming spot- you can swim from just a couple of feet in and the water is so clear. There's parking under the trees, where there is also a lovely cafe for drinks/ice creams and you can sit under the...More

Yes, the beach is crowded (or at least it was the day we were there), but that's an easy fix: just head out to the water for a refreshing dip and relaxing swim. You have to pay to use the chairs and/or umbrella, but it's...More

Could use a better cleaning. The guys charged for subbed and umbrella but could help with keeping the beach more tidy! Kiosk closed in early November so no food. No toilet paper in bathrooms. Water was 23.9 degrees and beautiful.

Finding a bit of sand to play on with the kids is impossible as the beach is full of sunbeds €2.5 and shades €2.5 and this was in October.

Konnos Bay and Cyclops Cave is one of the few dive sites at this end of the island. Unfortunately it is not at all welcoming as the whole area is strewn with plastic bags and rubbish, the few bins available are full to overflowing and...More

Konnos bay apartments (4 Replies)
Hi am looking at booking for Konnos bay in an apartment. Was thinking of doing bed and breakfast for a few pounds more. Has anyone done bed/ breakfast here and what type of breakfast food is available.

Never stayed there but have been past it umpteen times,I hope you realise this hotel and apartments are well off the beaten track for bars and restaurants, there's a reason this place is cheap.

Konnos Bay Apartments near Protaras (3 Replies)
Does anyone know if there are buses into Protaras from Konnos Bay and do they run till late? Are there many interesting excursions from the area? I like sightseeing and nature, not clubbing.

Yes there are buses but they tend to run on GMT time (Greek maybe time!) and will take you into Protaras & Paralimni. Good for short runs but probably better to rely on taxis for late nights which will cost you about 4CYP into Protaras or hire a car or scooter to go further afield. Konnos Bay is a lovely area, very quiet and scenic with lovely walks along the cliff top and a fabulous bay. You can buy daily excursions to The Troodos mountains or do an off road safari for the day which is...More

Konnos Bay Hotel Protaras (5 Replies)
We are thinking of booking a late deal mid July to the Konnos bay hotel apartments. Can you give me any details on this accomodation and if it has any bad points. Couple in our mid 20's looking for relaxing holiday with good food and some entertainment. Thanks

Haven't actually stayed in the apartments but most apartments in Cyprus are much the same, basic clean accommodation with regular towel and linen change, basic cooking utensils. However the location of the Konnos Bay Apartments is absolutely fabulous - you have access to a wonderful beach and bay just across the road. Very quiet area and I would recommend you hire a car. There are buses to Ayia Napa and Protaras and taxis. It is within walking distance of Protaras (quite a walk!) but in the...More
