Very intriguing insight into the original history of Ayia Napa. Raising further interest are the closed off areas and doors, definitely a lot more to find out there. If you're a video games fan like Tomb Raider, you'll definitely see where the inspiration comes from. Nothing to lose.

This place is incredible. The walls and ceiling are covered in pictures and the chairs are the old style, a beautiful place to visit and pay your respects

Not enough emphasis on Cypriot history so such places get ignored. Most people are there for the beach and sun. Had to google for more information on the place.

It was ok if your into this sort of thing, but it could do with more information about the monastery but we did go in the off season so maybe that explains that lack staff etc. but it was nice to stubble across. We were at the monastery no more than 1/2 hr.

Not much is left from the old Ayia Napa. In between all the nightclubs, minimarkets and restaurants built in modern times this little monastery is a little jewel of history. Take a little of your time and enter the beautiful port into the tranquility of the monastery. It is well worth it.

Visit the monastery chapel every time we visit ayia Napa. The surroundings are historical and educational. The chapel is very emotional and you can light candles for loved ones and leave a donation for the upkeep of this historical site. During fevistival times they have artefacts and pictures of the past history of the town. Well worth a visit .
