Tidy sandy beach, everything in good order: toilets, supervision, stalls. Many beach chairs, everything well structured: beaches with clothing, for nudists, with dogs, and very long. You are guaranteed to find your place. Recommendable.
Important: you pay your tourist tax at the entrance (so you have to take a ticket). The access is easy and flat.

The beach in Binz is great- it would not say it is outstanding, but it is great. It might be outstanding if there were not so many people in the Summer. However, it is truly nice to take a walk on the beach in the early morning or evening, because it is extremely calming and the sound of the waves is quite tranquil. The beach also offers very pretty view of the sea and the island's cliffs. Also, however, around the bend on the far end of the beach, it becomes really rocky and shady, and not many people go there. A great stop to stop and relax as a result. The forest behind it makes for wonderful views of the island and great hikes in addition.

I love the colourful sun lounger huts which you can hire for a few hours or the whole day.
You can walk along the long beach and if you think it’s too heavy to walk on the sand, you can walk on the path right above or stop for a drink or an ice cream on the way

If you are lucky enough to stay at one of the hotels in Binz along the Strandpromenade, then the beach is right in front of you. It's clean, soft sand, and stretches for kilometers. It also offers a dog beach area and an FKK area (no clothing required). As the water is quite shallow it's perfect for children. I walked about 5 km northward to Prora where the Nazis had a holiday camp planned for workers. The endless concrete blocks are still standing, a silent witness to the delusion of the Hitler regime. The camp did not get completed as the war broke out in 1939, Today these buildings are being converted into vacation condos. However, you can walk along the beach all the way to Prora, a very nice stroll or power walk (your choice) indeed. Tides are barely noticeable here, so that the beach remains quite wide at all times. It is also maintained to a very high degree of cleanliness.

Wow, this is one of the greatest beaches I've ever been to. With a remarkable German way of keeping everything in order there are signs with every path to the beach stating what kind of beach you are entering and where you can find what. Let me explain; The entire beach is devided into sections; Textile, Nude, Dogs. Most of the beach is allocated to textile, but there are more then a few "reserved" for nude bathing, and also quite a few for those who want to bring their dogs to the beach. In this way everyone can find their favorite spot.
The sand is white, the beach wide, the water blue and shallow. There are lifeguard towers all along the beach w. toilets etc.
I can highly recommend this beach :)

Nice sandy beach with ample space for dogs. Clean and well maintained. North beach close to parking #9 is best suited for dogs.

Beautiful beach, not excessively wide but very long, very clean and lovely white sand. Beach has to be around 10km long and so was never crowded despite visiting at the height of the summer holidays. Only downside was that the access to beach seemed to be at th FKK (nudist) beaches which might not go down too well with some. Big plus is that there are designated dog beaches so everyone has an area they can enjoy. If you're a child or disabled than access is free, otherwise you have to buy a Kurkarte but everytime we tried the machine was broken, no one came to check either. Also recommend getting there early because the official carparks will fill up early. For anyone interested in History, Prora is also home to the Nazi's holiday camp. Most of the buildings are still there and are are now being renovated and turned into luxury apartments - not cheap and ironic that the buildings were built so that ordinary working people could have a holiday by the see.

The beach is long, very clean with white sand and pretty flat to the water. We have been there in early spring but I am sure it would be very nice in summer too!

It's no wonder that so many people come to Binz for time at the beach or shopping! The shell-riddled sand, dotted with volleyball courts, the fish stands and restaurants--this a gem on Ruegen island. If you're on Ruegen, you should stop here for a couple of hours.

The strand at Binz goes on for miles and miles. The sand is fine and white and Strandkoerbe (funny little deck chairs) are everywhere to be seen. Contrary to my expectations of Baltic Sea resorts, the climate here is relatively mild and the sea wonderful for a swim. There are clearly designated nudist areas (FKK) and areas where dogs are permitted. (Textilstrand is for everyone else!) The beach can get pretty crowded on a sunny summer afternoon, but it's well worth a visit!
