Nice visit - nice view from the top

Recommended. I enjoyed the visit, so did my children. A bit odd castle, and the climb is a bit from Indiana Jones. Very nice view from the top - can't be described.

A total rip-off. The rate at the parking lot is € 2 per hour. Knowing that going up and down takes more than an hour, you always pay much more. The parking lots are situated 2 km from the Schloss. If you don't want to spend an hour walking or have difficulty walking, you pay another € 8 for a... More

This historic site is a must if you like anything about the history of a hunting lodge built in 1723 based on the style of Italian Renaissance Castellos. It passed into Nazi hands n 1944. It is well worth a climb to the top of the tower. to get a view of the surrounding countryside. Enjoy.

This beautiful gem is located in the lush forest of The Granitz area. You can park your car approx. 2km away on a car park (you need to pay though) and walk there or you come by train (Rasender Roland, Jagdschloss Station). The entry fee of under 10 EUR is fair enough and the beletage is lovely renovated. The highlight... More

We reached 'Jagdschloss Granitz' (the Granitz Hunting Lodge) by taking a small tourist train from Binz, although it is quite possible to walk to the lodge from the town - as long as you have the time and the weather isn't against you. The train stops at the jetty, although there a couple of other stops in the town as... More

Walked there from Binz through the forrest - quite demanding but award in the end is really nice. Really recommended and you can use "car-train" from Binz if you want.

Great service, and nice restaurant with fair prices. We visit the place with our family including 7 people. Please notice it's 2 km. walking uphill in the forest.

We walked from the first car park - about 3km in each direction. Not many people about. We did not go in the Jagschloss as it was closed.

Nice looking hunting house, rennovated, but still nice looking. Entrance fee is 6 euro. The house itself is not big. It has an amazing trophy room and some nice rooms. The the gem of this castle is the rooftop - the observing place of the Ruegen Island. Small iron steps lead you to the top of the castle. It;s very... More

Beautifully restored building and inside restoring is still going on, so some rooms we were not able to visit. Still impressing and very interesting. A beautiful staircase leads up to the tower from which you have a beautiful and perfect view!
