The Penang Windmill Museum is situated in the small town of Penong on the Eyre Highway. This is Australia’s biggest windmill museum and is worth a visit on the way through Penong and it is free.

We didn't have time to stop when travelling east but on the way back we did and found it worth the stop. It is a really interesting collection of these iconic Australian emblems and the variety is fascinating.

This fascinating museum started as an idea and has become an award winning attraction. It's also in a perfect location at Penong if you're traveling from Ceduna to Nullarbor Roadhouse.

This is worth a stop, which is likely due to its location! it is free of charge and quite the spectacle, with no charge to enter and have a look around there is a great swing there for kids to play on and "pump" water
