This is a lovely place to visit. Car parking can be expensive as it is owned by the National Trust but if you are a member it is free. The beach is lovely, it is pebbly but lots of rock pools to keep the children entertained, there is also sand. Some good walks around the headland, a good place to... More

This really is a lovely place to bring the kids and let them loose on the rock looks. Ample parking, a cafe and toilets. Dogs not allowed during the summer months. Beach is largely dependent on the storms- sand one week, rocks the next. So bring a thick blanket or it could be uncomfortable. The only thing I would be... More

We first started coming to Wembury Beach with the kids when they carried bucket, spade and net and we carried them. The rock pooling was second to none. This beach is on our doorstep. It's very easy to take these beautiful places for granted but if you make the effort to get out, dress for what can be a windy... More

I have come here a few times, national trust parking free but if your paying it can be expensive. Nice coastal walks, rock pooling with the kids to look for crabs etc. Relax on the beach with the family and bring a nice picnic. This is a busy beach for all the family.

The history of this beach is amazing from Smugglers to War. The Mewstone sits right in front of the beach. Great cafe, do vist the church!

We go to this beach several times a year as it is nearby. Kids always love it. Great walks and toilets on site. Just be aware that it is part of the national trust who keep it up to a high standard, but it means if you want to park on site you'll have to pay for parking

We visited here with friends for a picnic, I've never been before, and thought it was beautiful. Though not sandy, it is only very fine small stones and pebbles, so not uncomfortable or hard to walk on. There was a wedding up on the hill, and we could hear the bells as we ate our picnic. Unfortunately we couldn't stay... More

I love Wembury beach. The surroundings are amazing and unspoilt. There are toilets and a lovely cafe and the walks from the beach in each direction along the cliff tops are so beautiful. Simply stunning, especially on a beautiful sunny day.

Lovely natural rocky and partly sandy shore; Wonderful for swimming (easier at low tide); shallow walk out to the surf and reasonably safe swimming. Wonderful rock pools and ledges to explore at low tide.

We have been coming to Wembury for decades and every year the beach is different. Some years it's sandy, other years it's rocky and other times it's wall to wall seaweed. It's a lovely place and worth a visit at any time. The coastal footpath is a lovely walk with a poignant bench to a young man. The Wembury cafe... More
