Dont miss this area if you are able - superb and unique landscapes and Aggius is just the most delightful village.

This place was hyped up to be a very worthwhile place to visit,it was not. There was nothing really to see,no facilities there and not worth the fairly long drive to get there.

Granite tors swooping down to the road give spectacular view and weird mental constructions of figures and faces in the rocks. Don't expect a Grand Canyon experience, but as Michelin says, it merits a visit if not a detour.

A very short drive just north of Aggius on the road to Isla Rossa amassed with spectacular rock formations and scenery. We drove through, then turned around and went back, then turned around again. Only a few pull offs available for photo opportunities but still fabulous.

Drove though the valley of the moon and paused for a 20 minute viewpoint break. the exposed granite rock features over this part of Sardinia are incredible and contrast so well against the lush greenery around them. It's worth the trip to this beautiful island to admire the amazing formations that nature has created.

These are large arid rocks along the road, which would evoke the lunar surface. In fact the area is very short and disappointing.

In my opinion, the Valley of the Moon should change its name and call it the Valley of the Rocks. Granite rocks of any shape, spectacular works of nature, give life to the most imaginative imagination. A valley with a particular charm given by the rocks, the sea and its beaches. In my opinion the best season to visit is in autumn and spring.
