We went there for the second time after a few years ago. The architecture of the Cantina is art of its own and the wines they make are as well!
We tasted four different wines and went with 9 Bottles ... most of them "Stoan" (our favorite) and "Goldmuskateller".
Wonderful place, wonderful wine!

Definitely worth visiting Tramin, excellent architecture and the views of the valley are stunning. Great staff and wines. I suggest you go, you won't be disappointed

The Tramin winery in south tyrol produces solid wine in a variety of types that can be found in restaurants and shops all over the region. Obviously famous for its regional speciality - the Gewürztraminer does this particular winery also provide a spectacular landmark serving as its headquarters. You can stumble in whenever you prefer to and have a quick and uncomplicated wine tasting, which we found very convenient. I would recommend a visit here, should you be in the region and maybe take a bottle or two as souvenirs on your way home!

This was our favorite winery from those along the Weinstrasse (Strada del Vino). The location is stunning, we stayed a while to take family pix and admire the views. The architecture is unique, and provides for an interesting visit. We had a tasting with input from the young, enthusiastic and informative staff, and bought a mixed case of reasonably priced, delicious local wines. The Strada del Vino is a must-do for anyone interested in wines, and Cantina Tramin is a wonderful place to stop.

This is both winery (production and modern cellars) and representative building which includes the shop (lower level) and tasting room for groups (upper floor) with spectacular view across the valley. Buses shall park in the garage while car park is in front of the building.
Cantina Tramin is a coopertive of around 300 local wine producers and it is impressive to see a co-op having courage to undergo such an investment and make such an architectonic achievement. The scale of wines produced is both wide and deep and I recommend to try also some of the less known varieties.

The winery is worth a stop for the pleasant view and the dramatic architecture of the building. It sits perched on a knoll and features an very pretty view of the valley below. The wines are fair, the tastings are inexpensive - ok for a quick stop.

I was hoping to be blown away with the Gewürztraminer and was not. The basic was ok but the more expensive not available. Nonetheless, the visit was very pleasant and the staff friendly and helpful.
On a gorgeous day, the tasting and sales area in this modern building offers a spectacular view across the vineyards. The winery offers many varietals so find one you like, ask for a sample at a modest fee ,then sit outside, take in the view and enjoy life.

I have now been to this Cantina three times and each time has been a very pleasant experience. On the valley floor with views over the vineyards with a modern design reflecting the vines themselves. The staff were very friendly although a little hands off. It would have been good to know more about the wines. However, quality of the wines was exceptional. Amazing Stoan, Reserve Pinot Nero, Lagrein Urban and Pinot Bianco Moriz.

The Cantina it's a very modern building sorrounded by wineyards. Once you enter inside, be ready for a special experience: tasting all the wine you want at 0.50 cents a glass.

Sì, a fine visita c'è la possibilità di accompagnare una carrellata di vini con delle tapas altoatesine. In alternativa consiglio uno dei molti ristoranti di Appiano.
