Beautiful but busy

Convenient to get to and absolutely breathtaking but always so busy. There are many spots within walking distance if you'd like less of a crowd

Noosa Main Beach makes a ideal setting for relaxing. Together with the boardwalk bars/bistros it certainly compares with European locations with the exception that you do not have to fight for your small piece of tranquility.

For a boy raised in Sydney's eastern suburbs, the setting never disappoints, and as a destination it rarely misses with much to offer the visitor or local alike. The waves can be gentle breakers on one day and then on other days offer a challenge to the every day surfer. For novices, the list of options abound, from boards, skis... More

Very clean and shallow enough to walk a fair distance in the water's edge. Sheltered from the strong winds and big waves it is suitable for families with small children. The water temperature is comfortable even during the winter months. Also you can walk to Hastings St shops and restaurants for a coffee, drink or even lunch. Keep in mind... More

From a family perspective Noosa main beach has to be just about the best beach ever! It's well patrolled, generally has gentle waves over shallow water so is great for a fun & safe ocean swim. The water is almost always a classic turquoise blue :) What never ceases to blow me away is that just behind the beach is... More

We went at night. There was almost no surf and the bio bioluminescence was very visible in our wakes. Magical night swim.

We only stayed for a few hours - enough time to rack up bit of a suntan mid-July, a swim and enjoy the fabulous atmosphere. Lots of quality sand to play in for the kids. Safe swimming. Fully patrolled. Lots of extras to hire (surfboards, sun loungers etc). Easily accessible to shops and restaurants which meant Dad and the kids... More

I love Noosa main beach. It's so beautiful. The beach has a board walk at the top of the sand which makes walking along the beach easy.

Noosa beach faces north and so is bathed in beautiful sunshine all day. The boardwalk makes a walk along the length of the beach very easy. There's plenty of room for everyone. My kids particularly enjoyed hiring surf boards and stand up paddle boards. We also enjoyed spectacular sunsets every night. Simply beautiful.
