The Limeburners Great Southern Distilling Company is Western Australia's first single malt whisky distillery. The distillery began with an idea 10 years ago to take local grains and ingredients and turn them into something excellent - enter: Limeburners Single Malt Whisky. We offer tours of the distillery as well as whisky, vodka & gin tastings and a light lunch. Come enjoy the beautiful views of Princess Royal Harbour while you savour exquisite Australian craft spirits. Please call ahead to book a distillery tour.

We were looking forward to visiting the distillery as we had read so much about it and previous visitors shared rave reviews. However, we found the whole experience a let down. Fair enough it's award winning whiskey but we wanted to know more.. What makes...More

We spotted this place when just driving by and decided to call in due to my interest in malt whisky. It is an interesting place where they seem to be keen to push the traditional boundaries. We sampled a few of their different offerings -...More

The experience was just ok. We found it quite disappointing as we had been on their website and it said the Albany one did cocktails and food but when we arrived they advised they did not as they only have a producers licence? Wouldn't have...More

Dear Cat_Jones333, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I do not work in the Cellar Door on a day to day basis, and without feedback like yours, I do not become aware of issues. If we're not aware, we will never be...More

The Staff at the Great Southern Distillery, could not have been more accommodating. Having only one day in the area, a day the Distillery was not normally open, and with a little inquiry with one owner, a tour was organised. Shane (I think the gentleman's...More

I was pretty excited to stop in at Limeburners to try some of their whiskey, but sadly my excitement pumped me up a little too much. It is set up more like a bar, where you order nips of their products. I only tried 2...More

This is a fabulous spot to stop and savour some great Australian whisky. A beautiful outlook from the long wooden tasting bar. Perfect on any day. Friendly and knowledgeable staff - thanks to Shane for sharing his knowledge and passion for whisky.

Staff knowledgeable and tour is very interesting. Tour includes tasting. Cafe also serves delicious coffee and cake, the whiskey wasn't bad either.

As a Whiskey drinker I was interested to give this a try. For $5 I recieved about half a thimble of whiskey. It was good and matched a good average Scottish single malt. We were then given a talk on how much better it was...More

Hi Donald and Barb, We appreciate your feedback and honesty. However, I'd like to clarify what our cellar door staff probably meant as we typically try to steer people away from comparing us to Scotches for several reasons. First of all, we're Australian-made and WA...More
