Middleton Beach is a must visit for anyone travelling to Albany. From the excellent beach side caravan park, nearby B&Bs to café restaurants one of which is very new, there is something for everyone at the delightful location. The beach is well protected and during my recent visit I noted that they now have the main swimming area enclosed with... More

Extremely clean beach. It was too cold for swimming but there is a netted swimming area and pontoon. Park area, play ground and food shops. A scenic walking path begins near the cafe/restaurant. We saw a humpback whale as we walked along the path. It was beautiful!!!

This is a lovely beach with a part sectioned off for swimming. There is also a nice cafe where you can see the water.

Ellen Cove is tucked into the corner of the sweeping white Middleton Beach and is protected from any wind from the West to the South East and sheltered from the Southern Ocean swells. It has grassy picnic areas, broad sand beach, crystal clear water and a backdrop of Mount Adelaide and Mount Clarence. A naturally peaceful, but enlivened location by... More

Middleton Beach has a beautiful boardwalk, safe swimming, shaded picnic areas, good parking, a dawn view to-die-for, history (did you know Charles Darwin stepped ashore from The Beagle here?), some great places to eat both day and night, and good accommodation nearby. What's not to like?

A gorgeous safe swimming beach with a café and park. Shark nets, swimming jetty, pristine waters and a fishing jetty. Large flat rocks that are great for exploring. Lovely locals who are willing to share the best bites to eat and spots to fish. Wheel chair friendly park and café.

Nice Beach to have a walk. Nice view from the hill over the sea. Also a very nice restaurant directly at the beach, where U can have a lovely meal.

One of my favourite beaches. Good firm sand for walking. Often do the walk along the beach to Emu Point. (and back) Takes about an hour both ways. There is the Broad walk that starts from Ellen Cove just past the jetty by the beach where one can walk admiring the wonderful vistas of King Georges Sound and Princess Royal... More

When in a Albany you must visit Middleton Beach. As far as beaches go its like all the rest, but its so lovely just to go for a walk along the boardwalk and take in the views and if you are here during the whale watch season you may get to see them up close.
